Lifted most of our potatoes today and we had a 'Daddy dinner' of potatoes, calabrese, and beetroot. Mrs Treerat added a cheese sauce.

I've never had peanut butter, Wolfie. Never been a butter fan, but I guess it's nothing like butter?

It's only 3.42 am here but hubby on sofa, he seems to have a bug, been running to bathroom quite a lot and got a temperature. He's just got off to sleep tho so hopefully it has passed. He's never usually poorly. I've made him camomile tea and he had alka saltzer, that seemed to help.

Feeling a bit blah.

FBL, yes Bottom had Mayall and Edmondson in, another of my hubby's favourite shows, we still watch it from time to time. Again it is the anarchy ( and violence!) I love. They used to do a stand up as 'the Dangerous Brothers' where the basically beat each other up with bin lids and bottles and occasional explosives!! All part of the 'alternative comedy' of the British 80's. Mayall sadly died a couple of years ago, far too young. He was an excellent actor, playing suave and handsome, or sleazy and repulsive with equal believability. He cropped up in episodes of BlackAdder as Flasheart. BlackAdder, now that was another series and Atkinson another amazing British actor/comedian, though I think Holliwood has kinda stuck him in too many of the same type roles, Mr Bean And Johnny English, he is so much more versatile than that.

Well, my mom is returning home today with my father as co passenger, not cargo. I came close yesterday, but fortunately for us both we were in public, so too many witnesses. Unfortunately we were in a bar, so the urge to drown my annoyance was strong! ( my mom had a whiskey sauce on her chicken, I was even tempted to suck the remnants off her plate!) hubby followed me outside after and gave me a big hug. He is supportive, knowing what a complete PIA my dad is. Anyhoo, I'm still sober, he's still alive so ...result!

Today at our tree there was a queue for the feeders we loved watching it they were all clamering so many blue **** with one on top of the feeder awesome

We bought some suet balls to put in the feeders see how they take to that

Going to attract lots of diffrent varieties in time i want more robbins and finched we get a couple but with new goodies on the tree we should get more

Going to read for a bit

Toots, I like all the old comedies but I didn't see the young ones! Don't know why, I will have to get the reruns.
Pleased your dad went back in one piece, and your husband giving you a big hug, he knows you well, as for licking the plate, your restraint is amazing!

Wolfie, it sounds a lovely ice cream dessert, mmmm, I haven't had any for two weeks this is my third week,, though I did treat myself yesterday and have a lemon posset with raspberry dessert, yes just one raspberry!
The birdies will love the suet balls, Wolfie.

Wolfie, robins come in ones and are very terrortorial, one is always the bully and you will find that one is fatter too! As it won't let the other get any seeds! All that food and there's always a greedy one!

Toots, glad I'm not the only one that remembers Bottom. I have that on DVD as well, along with the entire Comic Strip Presents series. Of course, I also own the complete Monty Python and Benny Hill collections too. Oh, and AbFab too. I never got into Fawlty Towers, although everyone says I would enjoy it. Maybe someday...

It's warm and muggy here again today. I'll actually be glad when summer is over as fall is my favorite season, weather-wise.
