One Year & Over Part 28
I think old school stuff like the young ones is brilliant fawlty towers is a masterpiece and only fools & horses is very close to my heart, citizen smith all that stuff the saying 'they dont make em like they used to' esp applies to all these shows
We picked up season 1 of the wire so we have a new boxset watching it now
Wish there was more hours in the day hey ho its been a great day
Goodnight Overs

Goodnight Overs
Hey, SW, happy to hear you've had a great day!
I had a delightful set of dinner companions tonight. All three were having wine and a glass was set at my plate. My usual "No, thanks" worked well as usual but even better is that I no longer seem to be troubled by that wistful feeling of "I wish I could" :-)

Morning overs hope you're all well.
Toots, my husband says the same! Lol. Wolfie is a one off! In the nicest possible way, Wolfie.
Hi saskia, you got the words off to a tee, the wish will lessen.
Itchy, phew, so hot! We had some Saturday but had a lovely breeze with it, but I couldn't have toiled in it!
Hiya Wolfie or should I say Manuél. Lol I loved those programmes. Only 12 episodes ever of fawlty towers, seems lots more. Citizen smith, your namesakes! So funny. Morecambe and wise, classic. All the right notes but not necessarily in the right order! Mwaaaa, that one cracks me up even now!
It's my birthday today, dare I say 57 years old! Going out for lunch later to celebrate. Had planned to go to Clumber Park yesterday, as Saturday was going to be nicest day weather wise, but not feeling so good so went to waters edge at Barton upon Humber , very nice there. Not too far from home and plenty places to sit down, if required to.
Anyways, I will send you all a piece of my birthday cake, and when you take your slice it turns into your favouritest food ever, enjoy. Lol.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Hi, Overries.
It's been awhile...I've been in the tough place and still struggling a lot with my life, but still sober and still kicking.
So happy to see you all.

It is HOT!
Wolf,
You asked about the evening temps, here is a weather forecast showing tomorrow's 105°F (40.55C), Monday's 106°F (41.11°C), Tuesday's 104°F (40°C), and we finally get cooler weather Wednesday as it cools to 100°F (37.77°C). The lows for each night is listed under each days temp. Click here: Weather in Shreveport - AccuWeather Forecast for LA 71107
It ranges from 78°F (25.5°C) to 81°F (27.22°C) for the nightly low. But evenings are also cool in the 90s - NOT!
I would go back to the unusual flooding rains now! We are back to too hot and no rain again like the drought I thought we were over finally.
Toots, you can always put more clothes on in the cold. Once you are nekkid in heat you can't get any nekkider. Getting nekkid insures you get brought to a cooler air conditioned jail cell however. On the other hand, I have five more fingers.
Mags !
Saskia,
Nice to meet you! Yes it is nice to not hunger for alcohol anymore and be happy with it.
Resolute,
Me too on Monty and Benny, as well my all time favorite from the BBC old days was "Waiting For God." Stephanie Cole is spectacular as Diana as is Graham Crowden as Tom.
MB! Hey glad you're hanging with us in sobriety.
Hi Drake!

At 57 you are a youngster
Hi Midnight.
Hi Itchy. Thanks for the weather forecast . I've always said something similar about not being able to take off more if we are too hot!
Hi Drake.
Hi to all.
Oh my, I'm obviously feeling totally not creative at the mo!
Have a good day, night or whatever it is wherever you are. :-)

Happy B-day, Mags!
Wolfie, I love The Young Ones. I got hooked when MTV used to run it back in the day. I own the series on DVD. I also got into Bottom which was made by many of the same funny folks.
I'm off for my morning walk soon. I already had two deer run in front of my car this morning, so I expect to see some more wild life. Haven't heard much about the Milwaukee mountain lion lately.
Have a great Sunday, all!
