Looks like I hijacked my own thread and chased everyone off.
Been facing major league temptation lately, but am still on track. Miss Shabby walked me through it last night, and for that I am thankful. It's nice to have company when I'm on treacherous ground.
Hope all are well.

Drat I spent ages introducing myself to you Frank then lost the post.
Well can I just say hi?
We both joined the April class and both have, as you call him, 'Boozer' as a friend
I'm Martina but when I first joined this site it was the first time for me to join a forum so I put a little m instead of a big M irritated me ever since...must sort it out :-)

I be here.
I know I haven't been posting often lately, still sort of withdrawn. But I wanted to post today since this is one month sober (yes Martina, I was in your April class but relapsed). I once made it 34 days prior to joining SR, so that's another mini-milestone coming soon.
A long time ago Cissy posted a cogent argument about counting days. So, this time, I haven't counted days. (See? I really do listen to advice on this thread). Counting days just makes it seem so slooooww to me and I found myself impatient and sometimes discouraged. So I probably won't update length of sobriety again for another month.
This time I had surprisingly little temptation until around the fourth week, at which point it became pretty hellacious. I was saved by the bell once since the liquor store was closing. And (((Shabby))) kept me company here on another occasion. I survived.
And thank you to all who have followed the thread . . . Saoutchik (hah!), Dee, Ditzy, Olivia, Venecia, Hevyn, and others.
