24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 70
I like the idea of this thread, particularly since I am so new here. Evening check-ins will be good for me. I do my drinking in the evenings (mostly) and by myself (almost always). I'm now 24 hours alcohol-free and commit to another 24. Early bedtime for me tonight as I am hungover from yesterday's late afternoon wine binge. It will be nice to wake up hangover-free tomorrow morning.
***News Flash***
In case anyone was wondering about a recent theme in my posts, yes, I’m obsessed with fertility & unions. My son is getting married in less than a week. It’s set my brain in a whirl.
On account of this, I’ll be away from the internet for about 2 weeks, starting Thursday. It seems like a good time for me to let go of the roster.
Of course, a roster isn’t needed to keep this thread as wonderful as it is – all that’s needed is US. But if you think you might want to do it, PM me. As Gilmer said about the milestones, it isn’t hard.

Typing slowly and carefully 'cause I'm covered in henna... Had this great idea to "try out" a new tattoo design with henna before I get the needles. We shall see... so far I'm liking the result.
Good morning from the UK friends.
It was barely light when I got up this morning but that means I get to drink my coffee in peace and witness the changing colours of the sunrise. It's gone from an almost violent pink through cotton candy and now it's moving into a soft lilac before the sun peeps over the roofs of my neighbours houses. I think this is my favourite time of the day, when everything is fresh and new and filled with potential. And quiet. That never lasts for long so I savour every moment.
I came across this quote that I wanted to share.
Dare to Be
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –At all times, Dare to be!
Steve Maraboli.
Wishing you all an awesome day/evening.
Congratulations to the milestoners, prayers for those struggling or suffering today.
Let's do this thing 24 hours at a time.
