Well that is a good reason not to drink! I think you're right. This is our 5th year. I won the first two. This is my year to win again!

Just checking in to say hi! I didn't stay sober once I was back from my trip and just let it go for a while, but it's not sustainable. Glad to see a bunch of you still here.

It's feeling like a good day for me to try again.

Hi everyone!! Day #102 for me... Yay, the triple digit club!!

Glad to see you're back at it nmd... Never give up!!

Allie, glad to see you're back too. Keep it up! I can relate to the anxiety with changing jobs. I'm a very loyal person and the thought of change is pretty frightening, but if it's a fantastic offer, you should do it! Hang in there... and good luck with the new job!

Casey, glad to see the nutrition plan is working out for you so far. How are the legs feeling today? Reading about your workout plan just might be the inspiration I need to get off my butt and do something!

Hope you all have a great sober Thursday

Starting day 112. The scratchy throat that I've had since Saturday turned into a full-blown some kind of minor sickness yesterday afternoon. I'm guessing a sinus infection of some kind. I'm taking some over the counter stuff. If it doesn't get better by tomorrow, I guess I'll go to the doctor though I hate doing that.

Off work today. Probably won't leave the house unless I get to feeling better. I would like to go to an AA meeting tonight if possible. I went to one at noon yesterday but ended up skipping out on the 8 pm one, which is usually my favorite of the week, because I wasn't feeling great. I watched a bunch of television and The Grand Budapest Hotel. It was amusing enough, I guess, though I kinda wish I'd seen it in a theater so I could better see all the little background details.

Good to see you back, nmd. You've been in my thoughts many times over the last few weeks.

Congrats to everyone who is sober today. Hope you'll check in if you haven't done so lately...

Legs are fine today. It was just a very minor soreness yesterday. I will probably not go out jogging today since I'm under the weather, but I'm definitely planning on sticking with this plan long term. If I can quit drinking alcohol, then eating better and getting a little exercise should be easy as can be compared to that.

Starting day 113 now. Throat is on the mend. Thank goodness. Yesterday was a lazy day. I think I left the house for a total of maybe 20 minutes all day long.

Work tonight. About to run to the library, will probably stop somewhere to get some lunch on the way. I need to do some laundry but can survive another couple of days, so why not put off until tomorrow what I should do today?

I'm starting to think seriously about going back to school. The local college has a good addiction counselor program. I can't work in restaurants my entire life. I think next week I might go up to the college and see what it would take to get started in the spring.

AllieK -- once again, congrats on the new job.

Stopping by to say hi.

Congrats AllieKat!

Casey, that is a great idea. From what I know of you here, i think you would make a great counselor.

Nothing new in my life. Work tonight, and tomorrow. Probably sunday too. That's ok, was off the last 2 days.

Hope you all have a great day!
Congrats to all
Prayers and hugs to everyone.

Casey I think that's a great idea. My career is one of the few rings in my life that kept me from completely destroying it and without college I wouldn't have a career at all. And helping others with their addiction would be an awesome way to give back. I think you would be really good at it.

Congrats on the new job Allie!

Casey, I think being an addictions counselor is a great idea too! Perfect fit for you. Go for it.

Not much new going on for me... rainy cloudy start to Day #104.

Have a great sober Saturday everyone!!

Slept in late to start day 114. I was having some bad allergy issues late last night so took some Benadryl. Guess it really knocked me out.

Work in a few hours. Need to go find something to eat now as I have nothing in the house.

Wishing everyone a safe and sober Saturday!

Starting day 115. Because I wasn't feeling good last week, I kept putting off doing laundry and now I'm in a desperate situation. So that's the plan for this morning--laundry, laundry, and more laundry. Work this evening, as always.

Besides having no clothes to wear, all is good. Throat is still a little scratchy but feeling much better overall.

Hope everyone has a safe and sober Sunday.

Glad you are well Casey. There was a nasty virus making the rounds.

Congrats to our gang here at SR.

Getting better each day. Slept a ton today. My body was whooped from training.

Love that sleep.

Ate Chinese w the fam. Chow mein noodles rock. Drank lime Pierre. Refreshing.

It didn't crave much today.

Starting day 116 now. Throat is back to feeling awful this morning. Hopefully it'll clear up as I wake up more.

Got my laundry caught up yesterday. That always feels nice. Work was weird. It started out very slow so the bosses made some extreme cuts, sending most people home, and then, of course, we got crazy busy for the last couple of hours we were open. I ended up making the most money I've made in the last 2-3 weeks. So that was good.

Work again tonight. I might go to a noon AA meeting. Might not. Depends on how I feel in an hour or so.

Anyways, feels good to keep racking up those sober days. Crazy to think I've gone the whole summer without a drink. Wishing each and every one of you a happy start to the new week and hope you'll all check in soon.

Quick check-in on Day #106... Pretty busy this morning at work, but now things have slowed down. Ugh... makes the day just drag on and on and on...

Hope your throat feels better today Casey. That's an awful feeling. Strep throat maybe? Might need an antibiotic to get it to go away.

D122y, I love the sparkling lemon/lime waters. I think I can drink them all day long. Especially, the Canada Dry Lemon/Lime Seltzer with zero calories and zero sodium. Love it.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday...

Casey, eat and drink some good fluids, then curl up in a ball and sleep. Asperin has been my drug of choice for a while. It is underrated.

I have been totally overdoing it lately.

Had something at the start of last week. Got over it mostly, but woke up yesterday, after a bunch of sleep, and I felt hung over.

I know this happens w PAWS. Anxiety all day. Got home, decided to just relax for a few days. No gym. Just eat, sleep, relax. Work yes, but no 30 minute sweat sessions.

Pretty much at a sobriety record of about 20 years. I will never drink again.

The scariest thing for me right now is the threat of a relapse. Positive I couldn't survive one.
