Thanks everyone! This weekend may be more challenging, but not going to worry about it right now. I know I have you guys if I start struggling.

Thanks soberwolf! Day 70 has been a long long time coming. It feels good to finally move past that 69 day mark.
When I first came back here to SR, my original plan was to not post here on this July 2013 thread until I got to day 70. I was so embarrassed at leaving this class in particular and SR in general with no notice back in September 2013.
I am so so so glad that I changed my mind and posted in here about a month ago. Talking with you guys daily since then has been a major part of my recovery.
Congrats to Ladybug and Snoozy on their milestone. So happy to see you ladies working so hard and being so honest here. Wishing everyone a safe and sober Thursday/Friday.

Leshar: That is wonderful news that the treatments are working and you are going home. As was well said above, a simple 'no thank you' will work. I hope you have a lovely time at the concert. Just stay in the moment.
As for me, I am heading to the shore for the first time this summer. Of course the evening news highlighted all of the recent local shark sightings, which prompted my daughter to send me a link on how to avoid a shark attack. That would be my luck, to make it this far, only to be eaten by a shark, in NJ.

Morning everyone,
Good news is it's Day 8, bad news is it's the weekend. There seems to be lots of triggers on the weekends, but I need to get through it. Will post here first if AV starts giving me a hard time. In-laws are coming over today to visit and play with the girls so I can get some much needed cleaning/organizing done. See, that's a trigger. Drinking either motivated me to clean or I would use it as a reward for being productive and getting my To Do list done. Ugh, the silly things we use as an excuse to drink.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Snoozy, where are you? Leshar, hope you are home and feeling better. SW, how did your f2f meeting go?

Hi ladybug , I know what you mean about the triggers ! I always drank when I did housework. Which meant I always had a pretty clean house lol.
But seriously , my AV has been screaming at me all day today. I had to have a big meeting at working re my sore back etc.
I drove home past the bottle shop but made sure I drove in the right lane in the heavy traffic so I couldn't do a quick turn in.
I walked inside , put my pjs on and went to bed.
It was only 2 pm but it saved me .
Cravings all gone and I'm delighted & relieved that it's gone.
All I need to do is ride that little wave . It's so worth it.
I'm feeling so much better with each day. You will too ladybug. Stay strong sweetheart xxx love you
