Hi everyone,

Day 6. This is where I have fallen the last 2 times. Feeling very strong, but I know I need to keep my guard up. The last time I drank I was feeling great and then at 6pm my AV just ambushed me. I have to make it to 1 week with Snoozy. It really helps to know we are doing this together Snooz

Hope your f2f goes well today SW!

Abby slept a little better last night - up to eat at 2:30 and then she went back down until 6:30. Even slept through a bad thunderstorm! Still feeling tired, though. My 5 yo has been wanting to stay up late and play/read/watch movies. It's summer so no school and I think once Abby goes to bed she wants some one on one time with me. It's sweet and I want to give her that special time, but I don't want her getting into the habit of staying up late. Not to mention I really don't think she's getting enough sleep. She never naps and isn't falling asleep until 10-10:30, getting up around 6:30-7 with me and Abby. I told you all I'm a worrywart right

We're here for you ladybug! While you may have drank on day six before, you've also made it past it day six too. It's just a number. We've got this one day at a time.

And it sounds like your five year old is still getting at least eight hours of sleep. That's not bad at all. I wouldn't fret too much over it. Easier said than done, I know.

Day 69 here. I'm now tied for the longest run of continuous sobriety I've ever had since my first drink back in 1999. As I've told you all before, that other day 69 was reached right here in the good old class of July back in 2013. July 19-September 25, 2013, to be exact. I've been looking at old threads from that time period lately. Lot of great stuff in there. Just ran across Snoozy's initial "Hey, can I join this class?" post actually.

Thanks to each and every one of for helping to keep me sober today. I'm so glad to still be a part of this class, grateful you welcomed me back in after my long hiatus.

Hello everyone,
I thought I was going home today, but no sign of the doc to give me a prescription. Looks like it will be tomorrow, most annoying. I'm apprehensive about going home. I have to continue ECT as as outpatient, once a week I think. I hate what it does to my memory! I may have a date on Saturday. My girlfriend gave me the site she met her boyfriend on. I got "talking" with this lawyer and he suggested we go to this free concert in the park. I'm dreading a bit telling him that I don't drink. He had indicated he "liked to converse over a glass of wine". Why am I not more proud of myself?

Congrats Casey, Ladybug & Snoozy

Hi Leshar sorry its not today but tomorrow your going home i think you should be proud of yourself it hasnt been easy & you got through it

As for the date stuff i wouldnt say anything unless you think your sobriety is at risk & if thats the case maybe not go ?

If you do go & he asks would you like a drink just say no thanks im sure anyone on a first date would respect that

Either way your awesome Leshar

Thanks guys :-)

Ladybugggggggg , oh I hear you girlfriend , day 6 was hard. I had the AV on my shoulder all afternoon.

I knew I was doing this with you , so we are doing it together
Don't give into it sweetie , I got past it and am soooooo relieved & proud of myself.

You would think after that disgusting hangover I wouldn't even entertain the idea , but Yep , I'm feeling good & how quickly we forget.

I'm not being fooled by that again. I feel so well , I'm not going backwards.

We've got this

Xx

You will be more proud of yourself Leshar.

My advice is to just have a good time on the weekend - don't load this up with expectations or fears.

You've been through a lot recently - if you decide to go, I'd just enjoy the concert and the company, and be proud of the non drinker and survivor you are

Hey gang!
Hump day is over thank goodness.
Very unsettled weather today. Lot's of downpours and threatening skies.
Had a huge load of cord wood dropped in my driveway today.
Already getting ready for winter.

It's nice to be cognizant and not drinking. Can be ahead of things instead of always playing catch up.

Proud of you too, Snoozy, we will get there together

Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement. Wouldn't be here without you all!
