Hey all!
Andy, Wolf, Mags and Toots as well as the rest of the UK crowd, I love reading about your gardens and birds over the pond from us. I spent a weekend in Manchester in 1995. Every country's citizens say they love their way of life but forget to look at the beauty of the growing indifference until they are far from home, and realize what they are missing. There is a feeling in England that is very different from here. Like Germany and France were very different from England and each other. Around every corner, city or countryside, there's a flavor of history and local custom unique.
Yeppers RZ,
They were at risk despite taking breaks. But we intervened with icewater, watermelon, and New York style Italian Ices. Then wet neck wraps and we had industrial fans running on each work area. The heat index has been 108 the past two days. They hand dug the 200' water pipe trench off our main waterline, installed a ball valve above it between it and the house, and installed the spigot on the side of the workshop. They are friends but contractors we paid too. I could have never done it in this heat. So now our RV has a full 30 Amp electrical outlet for RV plugs, and a water hookup. We needed it anyway to wash the vehicles while on the concrete apron of the shop.
Tomorrow the heat index will be 110°+ in our area. The actual temp will be 108. (42.22°C)
We are ready to do the new place a week from this Tuesday.
Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Feeling -good, sunflower hearts are good for you aren't they?
Wow 35 years sober, that's magnificent.
I am 33 years behind him, today.
I've reached 2 years sober today, friends. Amazed with myself and I know it would have been a lot harder without SR and all of you.
So Let's have some music and rock!
:Musband:

Guys i look out my window half an hour ago & a neighbours cat is attacking one of the wood pigeons in my garden like it would of killed it i start hissing from the window & run with my dog to the garden he chases the cat the pigeon approaches me
Ive just sat with one of my wood pigeons it wasnt flying away i thought its wings are broke so i stayed with it talking giving it bread felt so sorry for the bird
A lot of blue **** started flying about im sure i heard a magpie and the pigeons mate sat on the fence with it then flew off i take it, it done this as encouragement but the bird wasnt flying away i didnt know what to do i just kept on sitting with it in case the cat came back
It made my day when it flew away to its mate
What a way to start the day im sweating i was sitting in the rain im pretty sure it was a she she kept coming over to me unafraid
bit speechless as to what just happened just now

Oh Wolfe sorry the cat got a wood pigeon. Luckily for him you went out when you did. I've rescued many a bird in my garden, but sometimes it's because they fly into my window (it's got lead pattern on so I don't know why they do).
The birds are usually too quick for any cats but unfortunately they catch them now and again.
Don't be disheartened. You did well.

Congrats, Mags! 2 years is HUGE
Today's the last of the hot-n-stickeys for awhile. Nothing like Itchy's dealing with, but 85F and high humidity is hot enough for me. It'll be cooler and much less humid starting tomorrow...will send it your way later this week, Zip!
The maintenance man is on vacation this week, so I'm picking up a few extra bucks emptying the trash and vacuuming the floors in the entire office building this week...finally putting that college education to work
Have a great Monday, gang!
