Good morning everyone from a sunny and blue Paradise.

Toots, sorry to hear about your m-i-l, I do hope that she got treatment quickly as it's truly mind-blowing what can be done for stroke recovery these days.

BTW, for everyone FAST is a good acronym to remember for stroke. There is a history of stroke in both Mr Marcher's family and mine so we've made ourselves familiar with this.

Did I mention that I love my new little car? I do.

Have a good day all.

The car looks like it's great on gas mileage, Marcher (or do you guys say "petrol"?).

Toots, I am praying for your husband's mom.

Good morning, Marchers!

I'm having a grateful morning. So very happy to be sober and so very happy to have all the Marchers and Undies in my support corner. You all have made a huge difference in my life. There is no substitute for being sober.

Hi everyone!

Found out yesterday that I am a victim of identity theft. Someone in Chicago got their cable in my name and now the bill collectors have been summoned.

At first I thought maybe the estranged Mrs Budd may have used my name and SS# to open the account but, it wasn't her.

I called the cable company and thay have no record of my name having an account, so I called the debt collector and they gave me an address that I never lived at. They were actually very nice with me and told me what I must do to get it squared away.

I filled out a police report, then filled out an Identity Theft affadvit and must send copies to all the credit bureaus as well as the debt collector. Hopefully this will get sorted out soon.

I mentioned this in a welcome post to July 2015, and told them that 3 years ago this would have sent me on a binge as well as delaying what I need to do by a few weeks.

I guess I'm truly realizing that the worst things certainly wouldn't get better by drinking over them.

Budd, that's a real bummer! Happy but not surprised that you didn't drink over it. You are one of my inspirations, especially at those times when the going gets a bit tough.

Wow, Budd! That's awful!

I'm glad you were at the top of your game to get it resolved!

The only thing I got when me and Mrs Budd parted ways was bad credit. I guess after yesterday that was a good thing. Whoever stole my SS# couldn't get much!

MIL had a good night and a speech therapist was going to see her today. Other than that I have no news.

Budd how appalling that someone is going around Chicago pretending to be you! Seriously it isn't nice, but at least you are coping with a smile.

Enjoy the MarcherMobile !

I always thought that if I ever had my identity stolen, they would feel sorry for me and give me a few extra dollars!

No homework got done today. I have a feeling I'm going to have to ask for another extension for this class. I hate to ask for two in a row, but I honestly do have justification this time. It is chaos here, and probably will be for the next two weeks at least (my dad gets formally evaluated for the facility next Tuesday, and we have till July 26th to move him in). It's a non-stop maelstrom.

I had to take my dad to the general practitioner today so he could fill out forms verifying that my dad has diagnosed dementia. The trip to and from was difficult.
When I got home, I found that my son had left the wheelchair out in the rain, my two grandkids were there and screaming, and my son had commenced playing the tuba.

I'm sure I made the Jack Benny face.

Now I am upstairs and the house is silent. I have already taken my bedtime pills, so I should be falling asleep in an hour or so.

Good morning Marchers from a sunny but cold (10C) Paradise. Ken I'm gobsmacked about what happened but hey your reaction is what I think of as "typical Ken". Your balanced peaceful quietly humourous approach to life is how I think of you, I've never known you to be any different. I hope it's all sorted soon.

Yeah Gilmer Marchermobile is very economical on the petrol 5L per 100k supposedly.

I hope you are all travelling well, have a good day all.

Hiya to you too, Dee

(((Gilmer)))! It sounds like you will need a good break very soon. I hope you can fit that into your currently upside down life!

Marcher, an economical car is so nice. I have a Prius and am currently getting about 55 miles per gallon of gas. And I only use about 5 gallons per month now that I'm living here :-)

Actually, I am getting a break tomorrow. Hospice has a "respite care" program with a local nursing home, and we are going to avail ourselves of it over the holiday weekend. It will be just me, my husband, and my son (plus his tuba, no doubt :-/). I can sleep till noon if I want to, and lie around in my bathrobe all day if I so desire!

It will be so nice to know that my dad will be completely in somebody else's hands for four days. Then it will be just a few more days until we make the big move.
