Thanks guys. I have every faith my young friend will fight her way back, she has built up a healthy toolkit. I guess I wanted it so bad for her, it hit me too! I feel so for the young ones fighting alcoholism , more so really than drug addiction. I don't mean I care any less for drug addicts, I just mean it is impossible to get away from alcohol in recovery in the way you maybe can with drugs. Alcohol is everywhere and the media make it seem so cool to drink, it's on TV, in books, films, it oils the moving parts of social interaction. And suddenly someone in their 20's with no other health or religious reason, someone who has enjoyed times with alcohol, even knowing their relationship with it is not a healthy one, has to intermingle in society without it, like, forever! yeah, I would not have had it in me to quit back then. So I care extra for those who try because if they can, they get the chance to live the life I drank away.
Mags, I watched an extremely painful clip of a young woman in extreme inebriation and/ or high. It was awful to watch and all I could think was Lord, I hope she gets help before it kills her.

Well just over 24 hours to my run...

I would say, "Break a leg," Toots, but somehow I don't think it would be appropriate...

Well strike day has been postponed, there's been another offer for pensions. Fingers crossed.

Did you get you new bed, wolfie, you must be so pleased with the result of your hard work.

I love buying new bedding, you know, duvet covers, sheets etc. don't know why, but I do.lol.
Not a lot on the menu today, Father's Day tomorrow we'll be going to fil s. I bought cupcakes but was reminded he's just out of hospital after having stents in his arteries! Silly me! They look pretty anyhow.

Hope you're all well and enjoy our weekend. It's summer solstice day tomorrow. Longest day, pleased I'm not at work or it might seem forever.hehe.

Mags I recently saw a video posted of a woman under the influence floating around Facebook. I couldn't watch it once I realized what was going on. Just so sad.
Andy little chicks sound sooo cute! Enjoy!
Speakig of new beddig, I got a new light quilt the other day and ordered some new pillows. I could really go for some new sheets too though. I love the feeling of jumping into a new fresh clean bed. We could probably use a new mattress too but that'll have to wait.
It's a gorgeous day today. Going to pick my car up from one maintenance and have to schedule another maintenance. Then have some relatives coming over. Hope everyone is well!

Happy saturday morning overs..
I slept in till ten! Unheard of for me. I was up late talking to the man as he is working night shifts and has to sit in his truck basically for 14 hours at a time for the next nine or ten days. We talked for three and a half hours.
Congrats on the new bed SW.
Little baby chicks, awww!
toots good luck! I'm sure you'll do great.
I love running so much. I'm on day ten of my 30 day running challenge. It's all clicking and feeling great and natural. Such a freeing peaceful feeling. Last night i ran in a soft rain out in the country side, so lovely. And I'm definitely seeing positive results already, my belly is getting smaller and my legs are getting bigger! I really recommend this challenge who wants to start running more regularly.
I'm having a bit of strife at work because they're kind of being a-holes about my raise. I had a terse email back and forth with my boss. Overall they're being pretty disrespectful and unprofessional about thr whole process and it's pissing me off.
I might start working seasonally in the oil field and spending summers doing freelance work. I am so tired of being broke. Would love financial freedom sometime in my life before i die. Newspaper work is not sustainable.
