Well Della, since you are my adoptive parent I suppose I can pick you up. Don't forget the Mac and cheese. Things may get ugly if you do....

Nice week-end for me.....have a cousin less than an hour from me that I have just started spending time with the last couple of years. Was good to get out of town even just a short ways & really enjoyed my time.....went to a cherry orchard this am before heading home....wishing Marty was here to bake a cherry pie!

So glad to see you right back to commit to sobriety Brynn

Tired & going to chill for a bit before it all starts again tomorrow.

Good Morning Lovely Littermates.
Finally a class road trip. I'll head to Wisconsin with you guys after your visit here!
Going to be beautiful here today and tomorrow - that is about as far out as I believe they can predict..
Driving Jack into the city this morning for an audition - another dog food company. Fingers crossed. The shoot is next Monday. I gave him a bath yesterday so he is looking mighty fine.
Mary the cherries sound heavenly. We do not have that crop here.
Do good out there litter.

It's always something. My daughter has been using my car, since I can't go anywhere. It has an interlock device in it. Well, Saturday night it started to rain. My SIL went out to shut the windows on both of their cars, and he forgot my sunroof. So the whole inside of my car, including the interlock, got soaked. We had probably a good inch and a half of rain. They woke up to my car horn blowing non-stop. Had them disconnect the battery. The interlock is wrecked. We had hoped it would dry out by today and work again, but no. So I have to tow the car to the service station and get a replacement unit. $1500. On top of everything else, I do NOT need that extra expense. My daughter and SIL feel horrible, and say they will pay for it. But I know they are broke. This sucks.

Uggg it is always something! You have to buy the unit where you are? That sucks. But better than being in jail. Look what you have already been through!

I only have to buy this one because we wrecked the unit. Otherwise it's a $60 per month lease.

Brynn- I am glad you are focused on sobriety again!

B- good luck to you and Jack on the commercial!!

Marty- sorry to hear about the interlock.

copper- it's hot here too. It's going to be 106 F. And I have no air conditioning in the pop up! I am drinking tons of water and I may go to the rec room when it gets hot and read a book.

I've got my fingers crossed for you, B!

Marty, I'm sorry that happened. The waves don't beat the shore forever though. I hope you are able to catch a break sooner rather than later.

West, 106 is ridiculous! I'll stick with 90 and muggy.

It actually rained today. Sky turned black in a matter of minutes. I made the mistake of attempting to take the trash out when the sky opened up. It was frigid! The cushion on our front porch bench blew off so I chased it into the yard. The rain hit my back like a thousand tiny ice daggers. By the time I got in I was soaked through my clothes. Dripping all over the dogs. I laughed. If I was hungover I would have been beyond angry. It was nice to just go with the flow and enjoy it.

Road trip...I'm actually going to try to plan some traveling after my ankle surgery which is to take place mid July. Been pushed back due to other health concerns. Hopefully my graduation fund will last until then.

Planning a road trip would be nice Copper, something to look forward to!

I'm sorry about the device Marty, hope it is not ruined.....we have the option of having it insured for a little extra a month, are you maybe paying for that?

106 here right now.....way to hot - grateful for air conditioning & a job to afford to use it.

No - I don't have the insurance, if it's even available. I'm on the hook for $1500. Just more Karma coming my way. Hopefully soon I'll have paid my debt to the universe and things will settle down in my life. I'm taking it in stride. Things could always be much worse.

I don't think it's Karma Marty - just bad luck.

Audition went well. We will see if the client is looking for a dog with Jack's look.
Marty - that sucks. But as others have said - things have to get better for you soon.
Copper I love that story about the rain. So true that it is wonderful to be sober and roll with it. Sorry about your health causing your surgery to be postponed. Keep us posted.
I love the heat but those are some hot temps you guys are having. Wow!

B- I am glad to hear Jack's audition went well! He is really talented. Someone wants to give my brother a 4 year old Great Dane. It's a girl. He is going to go look at her tomorrow. I tried to explain to him it's a big decision and he needs to read about the breed first and she will probably cost him over a $100 a month in food, flea medicine, vet care. And that's being conservative. I am not sure how serious he is. He can afford her I just don't know if he is willing to handle the responsibility.

Mary- it was 106 here too! I hope you stayed cool. I ran around in my swimsuit who cares what I looked like! Haha

copper- wish you were here I need someone to endure this heat with me! the rain sounds nice. We may get a thunderstorm tomorrow but I will believe it when I see it. California is in a drought.

I hope he thinks about it seriously too. She is 140lbs! I would love to have her in the family but I don't know if my brother realizes the responsibility of it all. He is 31 and has grown up a lot. He does have a fenced in yard too. I guess we will find out tomorrow.

Tomorrow is only going to be 89!
I'll probably freeze!
