Brynn.....I know how hard those first few days are, but there is nothing good in that direction, keep moving forward on the path you know you deserve to take! Thinking of you!
Kitty, so glad your Mom is making some decisions to get help with the drinking...I will be thinking positive thoughts for you all!

Brynn - I hope you're getting past feeling crummy about yourself. That doesn't help. Just start again.
Mary - I hope your brother's talk with your son helps your situation - I can't imagine what that must feel like, to have your son and DIL stonewalling you like that. That sucks. But I'm very glad you got some meds and they are helping you. I don't know what I'd do without mine.

Mom is still sober and seeing a doc about inpatient tomorrow. I am so happy about that
Congrats on falling in love JS. I hope you are careful with your decision around drinking and don't forget where it can lead.....

Good morning!
Having a bit of a rough time mentally with the ankle bracelet. It's just hard to manage life without being able to go anywhere. It's just little things, like not being able to run to the store to grab a carton of milk. I'm not good at asking for help, so that's the lesson I will get from this, because I'll have to. I'm so darn independent normally, so it's tough. My daughter has been helping, but I hate to only ask her. So it's time to cast a wider net.

Marty, I'm so glad you've got your mind right to gain what you can from all these experiences. I love it. I'm truly amazed by you.
Okay my veggie friends. I may have done something unforgivable.....I put bacon on my veggie burger this evening. In my defense, it was turkey bacon which I think if stretched could pass as a vegetable. While I am incredibly sorry, I also find this hilarious.....and it was delicious.
I hope we can still be friends.

Hi to all. I had another trip to the southwest last week. I am beginning to fall in love with the area. Artistically invigorating. I haven't had a lot of sitting time, so the computer has been testing. The outside beckons me. Still hanging in there with a big six month.

This reminded me of my aunt. I was raised Catholic and we didn't eat meat on Friday's during Lent. She (also Catholic) would invite us over for pizza on Friday nights. Always with pepperoni and sausage which she would then swear because they were processed the were no longer considered meat. Hello McFly?
