Typing on iPhone lost post twice.
Day 2 again. Please gotta hold on and not drink away a holiday weekend. I'll be posting a lot maybe. Doing everything different than last year when I began to quit drinking. The only way I can not sidetrack my thinking with an AV like I have is to focus on something. I don't know if I'm doing it good, but I'm not laying around hung over. That was my daily story for years before I woke up to it

You need a plan JL.
Just hoping you'll get through is not enough.

Take a few minutes and look at this link - it might be the beginnings of a plan?

Wow, great to see so many active people in May! I lost so much of last summer to drinking and blackouts, I look forward too a full sober summer, one I can fully enjoy and remember.

Haven't caught up on posts, my muscles are all sore from yard work yesterday. Another beautiful day today, so I want to take advantage of it. we never went to the casino yesterday, which I'm glad about anyways. I didn't want to be around drinking or be up late. Bought all my veggies to plant and got a lot of perennial beds cleaned up. i don't think I'll finish this weekend, I'm definitely paying this year for some of last years neglect a far as weeding goes.

I'll check in later, have a great day all

Checking in on day 4 and going strong! Withdrawals are all gone and I'm going to workout as soon as I wake up. Love feeling healthy and knowing that I'm not going to wake up too dehydrated to workout! Good night all and I hope you all have an amazing sober day

That's a great link. putting together all those things in writing would definitelyhelp me remember things and reinforce choices when flustered. I walk around with much of those things in my head or scattered across my journal, but I can't say I have a single document that I call my sober action plan. I have homework now

Day 3 and all is well. Gonna wean off the food a bit today and maybe hit the treadmill. I've been doing like, 6,ooo calories-per-day for 3 days detoxing (normal for me). I also have to find someone to give a quart of Jimmy Johnson's Moonshine to. Seems it caught my wife's eye a few nights ago at the store and it has been on the dresser since. She doesn't drink liquor and the retching is still fresh in my memory so it's not a trigger but it's gotta go somewhere today. On another note: Wifey was able to get by on 5, 12oz Lites last night--no return trips to the store. Today could be the day WE become a sober unit again. I'm gonna just support her today is all I'm sayin.... Anyhoo, Hello fellow May 2015 Classers!

The drain?

It's going to be a gray rainy day today. Seems like a good day to be sober and take a lot of naps.

^ hard to argue with that idea, Annataboy
whatever it cost you can consider it an investment in your recovery.
