Keep on the high road and don't look back. You're really doing good. Keep up with your program and talk to your sponsor and to God. Do everything it takes. Remember about HALT, Paw's and that life does have it's ups and downs. Congrats on a really awesome 103 days.
I never got this... but here it is, Animal Cracker Day.
The famous Barnum’s animal crackers box was originally a Christmas ornament hung by a string. The string can still be found on boxes.
A box of Animal Crackers sold for 5 cents in 1902.
Animal Crackers originated in England where they were known as animal biscuits.
54 different animals have been created as animal crackers. The most popular brand, Barnum’s Animal Crackers, has featured 37 different animals since 1902.
The most recent addition to the Barnum’s animal crackers is the Koala bear.
So there you go. Animal Cracker Day.
I remember biting the heads off first. Funny, since I prefer animals over most people. I used to give Willow "People Crackers." We both found that funny.
Have a sober day, my friends. I'm in a funny place, a little lonely, a little sad and I'm not sure what's up. Took Harley to work today and she was spectacular- she is going to be one heck of a great therapy dog. I love her to pieces.
But something is missing....
Here for my 24. Love to all my friends.

Stay close, dear Viking; sometimes we just have 'off' days.
Nice to hear that Harley is going to be a good therapy dog; just think of all the joy she will bring.
I always thought that the animal crackers were a hoot - more fun to play with them than to eat them!!!!!
Wishing you some joy, Viking.

I always felt that in early sobriety or after relapsing. Flatlined. Each added day of sobriety added to my wellbeing. I used to cry at the drop of a hat or feel low down. Once I past a year into sobriety my emotions settled down. I still get cranky and irritable sometimes but not nearly as much. Take very good care of you and soon you will be feeling much better. Big Hug Viking!
Good, Viking.
There is a way to rejoice no matter what you are going through. First of all, focus on the Go(o)d in your life and not your situation. Praise the day, Praise God, (find the good in it) And it will uplift your spirits. I like especially Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning."

Thanks for the new thread, Dee...
Congrats everyone, Join me in asking for another 24 hours on this journey.
I'm beginning to realise that as I close the door on my drinking, other doors are opening before me. It's a nice feeling.
So many roads...
Peace and love to you all, thanks for being here!
