Good morning everyone I'm using the microphone feature to type this so sorry for weird typos!
I am on steroid treatment for the next five days and did see my dr late yesterday because my pain was getting worse. he gave me some bad news saying that it's progressing and I've likely gone into a new phase of the disease which isn't at all what I wanted to hear. I'll think about what that means later because I'm not ready to face it.
He changed my meds up but I have little faith that it will help.
I've been taking pain pills like mad, mostly from my exes stash, with only minor relief but at least I've been able to relax some and drift off occasionally. I did get some good pain meds from my dr yesterday so maybe I won't need the stash anymore ha! I haven't drank but I've been incredibly tempted especially after the news yesterday. I can't face it and I don't want to face it ever! I don't want to know anything!
Yall are all doing so good and I'm so happy for the new jobs and new experiences everyone is having! I'm sorry I'm such a downer I wish it was different but I'm in a really bad place right now.

Wow, actually got in about four hours of uninterrupted sleep, followed by another four with minimal waking. Mom awoke 300% better shape than the previous morning. Looks like the UTI was the major culprit this time and the intravenous antibiotic gave her a boost.
Brynn, how's the pain issue? Hope you too are getting a reprieve.
BBQ, I want to hear some progress on that guitar journey. Have you started bar chords yet? Remember, arch that wrist.

Byrnn, I am so sorry for the news you received. There is hope, however, you will rebound enough to have the pain subside soon. Unfortunately, your between a rock and a hard place. The pain meds are needed for the management of your discomfort, yet the pills can be a substitute satisfaction for your addiction as well. Use them wisely and sparingly. Be sure your caregivers are well aware of your alcohol issue. They may be able to advise of other pain management alternatives. I will be thinking of you and sending positive wishes for your recovery.

Creek I am working on bar chords but my hand still feels contorted and very awkward. I work at it during every practice and I know the bar chords will come.
So glad you got some rest. You must feel so much better that mom is better and the UTI was a major factor. UTIs can cause all sorts of stuff to happen mentally and physically.
Della - I'm glad you will be home on your couch soon.
Love to all the litter. Jack's trick show tonight went good. The tentative show tomorrow night is a no go. They went with s contortionist instead of a dog act. Go figure. I laughed out loud when Jack's agent told me. Gotta love this world.
