24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 51
Keep it up! You're doing great and the cravings will lessen.
I had friends (drinking friends) over this weekend that i hadn't seen in years. I didn't get drunk but i still had a few beers. I wish i wouldn't have. I don't know why i felt like i had to drink with them. Looking back over it i realize that my drinking didn't add anything to the environment. It would of been just as fun had i just drank some ice tea. I using this as a learning experience and hopefully remember that next time. My calendar is clear till summer so i'll have a lot of sober muscles built up.

What, you might ask, is so special about the long-tailed duck?
Clangula hyemalis. Special? They breed on the tundra, and millions gather in the winter on the Baltic Sea. The males bark, or yodel. They’re the only duck of the Clangula genus, the other species being known only from 13 million year old fossils found in Hungary. And they dive up to 200 feet, which is a really long way, especially in cold water.
A pretty special duck, I think!
Every one of us is special, and together we're a lot alike. See you here tomorrow, I hope!

Peach Cobbler!! Mmmmmmm.... Cobblers, buckles, crisps and grunts. All a delightful combo of dough and fruit. What a nice way to celebrate each fruit as it comes into season.
Peach Cobblers are an American deep-dish fruit dessert or pie with a thick crust (usually a biscuit crust) and peach filling.
Peach Cobbler day was created by the Georgia Peach Council in the 1950’s to sell canned peaches.
The rough look of the pie gives the dish its name. It looks “cobbled” together.
There are 419 calories in 1 cup of Peach Cobbler. (Do we really want to know that?)
Peach cobbler was invented by early American settlers.
Have a nice day, all. 24 more for me.
