"The fact is you are in the one in control - without your cooperation and consent the AV can't possibly get what it wants.
It knows that and is deathly scared of you realising your power"
Holy ****. Thank you so much, Dee (and all of you wonderful SR friends).

Good on you Tang, I've been reeling since I failed January class. How did I do two months then back where I started. Work is stressing me out and I had a few wines today. Tomorrow will be a new day and a restart. I'll spend more time on SR, I find you guys help immensely
I have an upcoming business trip where I have to take a client out to dinner. The client drinks heavily. I'm in angst that I will drink. I know what everyone is going to say. I have to devise a plan to avoid drinking. And no I can't avoid the trip/dinner.

Hey guys!
Back here after having one drink whilst on autopilot the other night. It's been three days but I'm counting today as day two due to weird sleeping times.
I am excited to be here and get involved :-)
About to go outside for a walk in the London sunshine.

Tang
That's a tricky one. I went to a wedding last year and didn't drink...I have several alcoholics in my family so you can imagine how awkward that was initially.
There are a couple of things I really found helpful:
1. Drink a lot of water and fizzy drinks. Any chance of hunger or dehydration creeping in can be really bad in that environment.
2. Have something to remind you of why you're on a new path. I have my AA coin, the 24 hour one.
3. Remember why you're there. A business dinner can let you focus on business and you need a clear head for that. You also don't need to throw away the pride you feel about your sobriety just for a drink.
I felt so proud of myself after I home from that wedding. It was a good feeling :-)
