Morning everyone,
I'm a bit late today, so I'll check in properly tonight.

ST, Just one observation, your low periods don't seem to last as long as they used to - that's got to be good news!

Have a great day all.

Afternoon Fools,
2.25pm,
at the desk...

It's on here again.....mmm
Obo was very unhappy with the English faculty for not being supportive whilst Anna was born, so I wrote them each a signed letter telling of my disappointment in them and their values in life.
Every word of which I felt deeply....
Well they've banded together and written me a letter back, speaking of HK culture, school duties and 'bravery" and the abilty to remain calm....
signed by every member of the English faculty....
mmm......
So there's a meeting in 30 min..
mmm.
a supposedly independent meeting, which will be chaired by two vice principals, who have worked with the two heads of the English department for the last twenty years...
ha...

A meeting to settle all disputes....they say.
One must be very careful in HK, they have the habit of dangling a caroot with one hand and holding a knife with the other...

Anyway a good lesson for Obo on keeping his mouth shut.
We only want to be for another year and i've figured this school out. aside from the staff it's great! I don't want a big fight and I've got to find another school...

Do it for Anna Obo.....he says talking to himself again....

Anxiety right up and about.....

stay tuned....................

I agree Obo.

The fact is the two cultures are very different...and sometimes in life there are times we need to shut the...hell up if we want to keep food on the table.

It's not exactly the spirit of Ned Kelly I know...but look what happened to him.

Do it for Anna

Well, it's 3:40 am and the insomnia is back.

Good luck obo, careful they don't tease you with just enough rope to hang yourself.

I have been reading along ... just not really in a talkative mood lately.

Take care everyone.

I may regret being honest but my life seems to be built on regret.
I am seriously considering getting high or drunk, maybe both, just to get my mind to stop so I can get some sleep. If seems like whenever I lie down and try to get some sleep my mind is going a million miles an hour.

That's a terrible plan UP.
Have you thought about speaking to a counsellor or seeing a Dr instead?

Freen- yes this is very true, and I do feel like that's progress...I have a toolbox now and can at least TRY to do something about it while it is happening...thanks for observing that! They used to be week and a half long ordeals lol

UP I'm so sorry that you're struggling with this insomnia. I can't help but think of HALT. Don't make big life altering decisions when you're really tired. And it seems from your posting lately that you're both tired in the literal sense and in the greater sense. Using isn't going to make your mind stop OR help you get enough sleep. It just pushes things around and then redoubles the fatigue.

I agree with Dee, have you thought about going to a doctor/counseling?

I know you're not feeling too chatty, but we're all here to listen!

Thinking of you up. Hope you got to sleep.
I had a brief talk w the AV this morning. I was dead tired... stumbling to the elevator in the hospital after a long shift. I had maybe 3 hours of sleep the day before. So all I could think of all night was getting home to my bed. When I reached the elevator "old familiar" chimed in that my "husband is out of town and will never know. Dont have to pick up my kids for several hours. Wouldn't it be nice to unwind with a beer"

I won that fight. A beer wouldn't be nice at all actually. It'll be the death of me
