Class of April 2015
James have a good sober camping trip you got this.
Canguy i hear you about the weekends, I'm fine if I'm working but I'm horrible with free time on my hands. Gotta break the cycle by finding a new hobbie. Drinking just wants me dead and I'm not going out like that.
Marathon man sorry to hear about your troubles. Remember drinking is just going to make it worse.

Hi all. I've been on and off trying to quit for years. I get on a good little sober stretch for a few weeks to a couple of months and get complacent... decide that I can drink. But I can't drink. A drink turns into a one time binge- which turns into a once a week binge - which turns into a two day binge - which turns into binging almost daily.
I always love the way I feel when I have a little bit of sobriety under my belt, regardless of that euphoria... each time I fail. I think... no, I know, that this time IS the time I quit for good. I turn into a depressed sack of when drinking.
This is day 5. The book I'm reading says not to count days because stopping is as simple as "I will never drink again and I will never change my mind" and why count when you mean forever? Well, I do mean forever this time... but I think I will count anyway because it makes me feel proud of myself as the number grows. I'm already feeling like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I'm not going to let addiction hold me back any longer.
much love

Well full disclosure, you'll notice how long I've been on this site. I'm no newcomer, heh. I'm going to try to leverage this class better than I have in the past.

Hi everyone, I drank last night. I acted a fool, brought someone home with me, smoked a cigarette or 2 (I've recently quit) the whole 9 yards...I never want to feel this way ever again.
I have been sober in the past but have become complacent in staying sober. I know there is a part of me that thinks fun = alcohol. However, this feeling right now is about the farthest thing from fun I can imagine....
I would like to join the class. Day 1.
