London what is this miracle you speak of? I will be going to tesco extra after work. Thus very thought will get me through the whole day! I have Eaten it spoon by spoon from the jar on Really bad days! It's like a magical elixir! The American shops cost a bomb. Thank you thank you thank you! I will keep my eyes peeled for ice cream too x

Friday!!!

Pink and London, also look for "nutter butter" peanut butter cookies. I have loved those since I was a wee little man.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are to die for.

Weekend here babies, more good choices team.

"Not choice, but habit rules the unreflecting herd." William Wordsworth

Go nuts!

Good morning,

Trying hard to stay upbeat.

Pink, the peanut butter fudge recipe I posted a while back is delicious when covered with semi-sweet chocolate bits melted with butter....like a Reese's peanutbutter cup!

I still cannot believe I am down 27 pounds with the amount of ice cream and chocolate I am eating.....

Let's keep on keeping on.

Ooooh determine the cookies sound good, and I've never tried the sandwiches!
Scooter i forgot about your recipe! Excellent! I wil be baking this weekend!
Soda, cranberry and orange sounds lush, another one for me to try. It's nice to be armed with an idea before getting to the bar. Gives me less thinking time for the Av to chip in.
London I didn't get to tesco so no reeces, best I can do is salted caramel galaxy tonight, it's nice though!

Happy Friday people, hope you are all doing well. Nice sunny day here, windy but sunny. Not much happening here, am watching top gear and chilling after a very busy week at work. Love weekends for a totally different reason now!

Have been reading about Buddhism today, seems like my cuppa tea, so am looking forward to more of this over the weekend, and also bought a jigsaw of pictures of sweets from the 1980s which will keep me occupied too. Simple pleasures. Also planning a new marrow and butternut squash tray bake recipe.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. London, don't forget the clocks steal an hour tomorrow night! X losing an hour of drinking time will not bother me this year! Xxx

Linz, here's a great light read on Buddhism. Good starter book or just to apply the broad strokes to everyday modern life. Might have to read it again myself.

Pink- I recently picked up a library book where folks wrote briefly on books that changed their lives. One wrote about a book that resulted in him becoming a Buddhist. If I still have the book Ill give you the name.

Thanks ultra. I've been interested on the sidelines fir some time. Feel I want to be more informed now, I'm very spiritual and it feels very natural to me, hoping to enjoy reading more, to have a deeper knowledge. -)

Evening Team A chums

Been to AA this evening to start my weekend and aviod after work pub exodus. It was great to do a Friday meeting, haven't been to one for a while on an evening.

Had a great day and on reflection a good week at work. I am ready for a balance of relaxing and productive weekend :-)

Thank you for the new thread Dee.

Pink - pass me that salted caramel Galaxy! If you do go to Tesco Reece's are in the world food aisle not the chocs aisle. My nearest Extra has an American section :-) Thanks for the clock change reminder! I am going to take the extra hour in bed anyway.

Hope everyone is all good x

OK Pink.

The book that was referenced was The Teachings of the Buddha. Jim Guy, the Chief Marketing Officer of Cambridge Investment Research found it in a hotel room in Hawaii, placed there by the Japanese Buddhist Society.

I wish you the best as you continue to explore your spirituality!

Wow Pink.

In four hours, your received four Buddhist book recomendations. And, in rereading Jim Guy's passage I understand there are Four Noble Truths in Buddhism.

Perhaps the Universe is giving you a little nudge!

Sober Saturday with a big strong cup of coffee. No regrets, dehydration or anxiety. Just enjoying some good music and light reading in a silent house while the sun rises with its accompanying sounds and smells of nature. I vow to never take this for granted.

"I, who wished to read the book of the world and the book of my own nature, did presume to despise the letters and signs. I called the world of appearances, illusion. I called my eyes and tongue, chance. Now it is over; I have awakened. I have indeed awakened and have only been born today." Siddhartha

Love
