Haha North, Budd, you will be able to see each other above the crowds!!

Me I'm an inconsequential 5'4" but I throw a long shadow!

Good morning Marchers Mr Marcher is much better this morning he's still shaking his head and saying "Why would anyone do that to themselves deliberately?" He said he'd put up with severe pain any day rather than that.

Ken and North I am so excited for you guys! Have a great weekend North, enjoy the sunshine. I just checked Ken's weather report and it's going to be 25C on Sunday. What's that? About 80F? 77 -- I googled.

Trachy I have never met a 6' turtle until I met you. This must be a picture of you and Ken ...

Dee, take care of yourself, I'm thinking of you as the cyclone makes landfall about now.

Have a good day peeps.

Hellllllooooooooo Marchers !!!!!!!
I just got the results back from my Minnie stroke and my dr, upped my blood pressure pills a little and some other pills for the plaque build up. I'm going to be just fine----thank you for all your concerns, you know what? it just doesn't stop---now, my Mother in law just got out of the hospital with heart failure and a leaky valve ---my best friend in high school is losing her sister to cancer in a matter of days and my brother in law has cancer----oh dear lord---it has to stop sometime.
anyway----How are you guys doing? I haven't had a chance to read back on your posts but plan on to do so tomorrow.
I miss lifeplant ----but like you guys have said---she will be with her parents.
I will be one month sober tomorrow and it's been the help and encouraging words from your posts that have helped the most.
here is a big HUUUUUUUUUUUG to each and everyone of you---love you guys.

Babs

Glad you are going to be alright Babs.
So sorry about your MIL.
Sending prayers and love. ♥

Also thinking of Dee this morning, and a couple of other friends in Queensland.
Hopefully, this cyclone will not come anywhere near where they all live.
This is going to be a scary day for many Queenslanders though.

Really glad to hear that Mr Marcher is much better this morning!!
And that picture of the man and turtle is hysterical Marcher!

(Anna must think we're nuts though).

Definitely hope all is well, Dee. I remember last year when a hurricane hit Queensland and you managed to miss it.

Thanks for checking in and letting us know how things are, Babs! Sorry to hear about the other challenges in your life. I know you have a lot on your plate with the health challenges in your family and early sobriety. Good to hear tomorrow is a month - that is a really good milestone!

Same thoughts from me, as well!

Babs: So happy to have you check in and congrats on almost a month sober!!

Budd: End of April works for me... I am planning on combining the Marcher Meetup with time spent in my old haunts... St. Augustine for sure, maybe Jacksonville. I just need to know the day and the location so that I can arrange my itinerary. Of course, the earlier the notice I have, generally speaking, the more reasonable the airline fare is. I also have to find a substitute babysitter for Seraphina, but can manage that with notice.

Marcher: And re: Mr. Marcher's comments on why people would submit themselves to the sickness that often accompanies pain patches, pain pills, even alcohol for that matter.... tell him for me that - in a nutshell - is the insanity of addiction. No matter how sick some of us felt, whether going through withdrawal when running out of pills too soon, or having a headache and upset stomach due to excessive drinking, let alone more severe consequences at end stage addiction - the using addict really believes "next" time I will manage this better.

Babs congratulations on a month, glad you are feeling better, though sorry for all your bad news. Please come here to cry, vent, rail at the injustices of life. Remember emotional turmoil is not a reason to drink, merely an excuse.

Marcher, Mr M being a normie will never understand what an addict will wade through for his DOC. Love the photos

Budd, remember it may take a while for North to let go some of those layers......

Oh Marchers, I have just spent an extraordinary quarter of an hour looking at an amazing set of photos! For those of you in the snow this is probably no show stopper but for people like me and maybe Dee and V, this is jaw dropping. Oh BTW, look at this on a computer rather than a small device if you can, full screen view is available.
