Found a neat iPhone app called Days Since. You just set and forget and it counts the days since you last had a drink (you can have a whole list of countdowns; last cigarette, last craving etc)

It's the second thing I look at every morning (after SR of course)

There's a whole lot of them. Just search 'days since' on App Store.
