It's fine for now Soberleigh;thx for asking. Can't do any heavy manual labor & healing after surgery is 6-8 wks. Didn't have good experience @ interview this mrg so prayed bout it, watched a msg my pastor preached while ago(very encouraging) then applied for some more jobs! Trust me the cloud of self pity was hanging on my head all day but kept busy coz I know exactly what will happen if "let it rain". Gonna do some exercises now then go to mtg! 4:45pm in MD & needing 24

Viking, I do have a genuine bagel shop right near my house! I once tried to make bagels from scratch, but they ended up translucent in spots and altogether too dense. I threw most of them out. There must be a fine art to making them.

I have made bagels from scratch- what an adventure! Having moved from NY many years ago, I still long for a good bagel, and I make sure I stock up when I go back to see my friends. Those bread rings at Dunkin Donuts are NOT bagels, folks! If you haven't had a real bagel from NY, you don't know what you're missing.

Are there good bagels where you live? Enlighten me![/QUOTE]

Viking,
You know I don't know if I have had a good bagel. A local Pasadena place, Goldsteins, has good tasting bagels. Is is Einstein ?? A bagel chain that we also have, perfectly fine too.
A New York bread that I LOVE, is a kimmel wick roll... IDK if I'm spelling this correctly. My Mom is from a little place called Grand Island, NY...very close to Niagra Falls. Roast beef sandwich on those salted rolls ...heaven!!
