Class of March 2013 part 37
You need TV shows Gilmer? Hello...TV show queen here.
Although I don't actually watch my TV unless it's tennis or football.
I have my laptop set up with brilliant speakers, and the TV I bought is too small anyway.
Venus Williams is playing right this second! How cool is that? My female hero and fat cat's namesake.
I am not doing that great Duff, but I just had an awesome talk with Gilmer and a few others, and it really helped.

This place is a kind of sanctuary and a judgment-free zone. At those times when life is being hard on us and we're being even harder on ourselves, this is a place to come for support and unconditional love and acceptance, and that's not easy to come by. I'm grateful for each and every one of you and all you have done for me in my darkest hours.
It's only 8:30 and I am wiped. Went to the gym after work and you can stick a fork in me now.

Hug V, hang in there.
You too Duff, eat ice cream and go get a massage. Take care of yourself.
Trach. All I can say is your 3 bean casserole looks like something I can tackle. Anything with a pan of hot oil I risk burning down the house.
Gilmer. The fried spam is doable for me.
That's a fun thread. I like it better than a cookbook. I trust everybody here more. If you say it good..it's good. I am going to attempt your THE pie Trach. I have better luck with baking.
Trach, if you have a recipe for shrimp and grits I have shrimp and I have polenta. Let me know what else I need. I hear that's really good and I've never had it.
If Bud contributes a recipe it will probably be a pot pie or something very fear factor he found on Tonga.
Very tired. It's been a heck of a month at work. Whew.
xoxo

Shoes, here's a really good one. Not too involved but, there is a pan of hot oil involved. That can't be avoided.
Well, it can but my backpacking recipe is only good if you've been walking all day.

Trachy: Why am I not surprised that you would be familiar with Doc Martin?
LOL...
Gilmer and Duff: I would love to hear what you think of the show...and the location.
Venus: Hoping today has you feeling better.
Woke up in the middle of the night, I think because the temperature dropped to 13 F and the furnace has been turning on quite a bit...I don't mind though because starting tomorrow we are in for a nice warming trend.

Morning, Marchers!
Yes, MeSo - you are right about Marchers being a "sanctuary and judgment-free zone"!
I'm having a number of "so long" breakfasts - think I am going to cry (and gain weight). Just heard from the movers to confirm for Monday and Tuesday. Suddenly time is flying!

Thanks, Gilmer! I've been putting most of my efforts into downsizing. It can be amazingly difficult to get rid of "stuff"! As of tomorrow I will be pre-organizing things for the movers and separating the stuff going in my car. This morning was a long breakfast with a good friend, tomorrow an AA meeting, Saturday breakfast with another good friend and Sunday afternoon a get-together with another friend. Then movers at 8:15 Monday morning. Now that it's nearing move, the time is galloping. Having some anxiety but manageable so far.
I hope to be able to check in here before and after the move. I have a hard time typing on my phone so will be dependent on wifi and my fruity tablet. Kitty is sacked out on my lap. She knows something is up but goes near the diffuser periodically :-)
