hmmm, doing a fast... something I'm due for - a cleansing...
I usually fast on good friday even though I gave up religion a long time ago.
now if I can get my wife to stop eating every time she passes the kitchen,
up early with sporadic sleep schedule - trying to spend more awake time with wife since she sleeps during the day. I've been 4-5 hours throughout the past several days...
this AM another trip to dentist - last one to complete implant, then she sleeps and we head to philly for tax man later this afternoon...

I just realized I've been awake since 2:30. I wanna get up and go fishing tomorrow morning with the other nuts. Gotta make dinner and get lunch ready for missus. Get my fishing stuff ready - maybe. And crash early again.

And Dee, every time I see that crazy walking cat I hear 'Alright Now' playing in my head.

Bri, it's good to hear the missus is still kinda hot despite eating every time she passes the kitchen. Have fun fishing. Beware of bottom feeders.

Good luck wiht the teefs LBrain. I spent $4k on a root canal and a crown about three years ago. Not fun but I have a great dentist.

My easter plans consist of lying on the sofa binge watching The Walking Dead and eating easter buns. My cat is helping me with the lying on the sofa part.

Soberwolf I think I was lucky in that I didn't have any pain to speak of but I could see the problem on the x-rays. Many years ago I ended up having a tooth extracted because I couldn't afford the root canal and believe you me I can still remember the pain. It started out of nowhere, while I was living in the middle of nowhere, and I had to call many dentists first thing in the morning to find one that could see me. It wasn't as bad as the kidney stones I have had, but it was close!

The Walking Dead is indeed a tv show and I love it! It's about a virus that turns people into flesh eating zombies (Walkers) if they get bitten. It's quite gory and I am not a fan of the horror genre at all, but what makes this show special is the writing and the character development. It's really very, very good.

On Thursday night my friend and I went to see the Waterboys at the Opera House. It was amazing. We have been Waterboys fans since the 80's and this is only the 2nd time they have been to Australia. The crowd went nuts :-)

You can listen to their new album at the link below. It's not my favourite album of theirs (that's Fisherman's Blues) but I still love it because I love everything they do.

Listen To The Waterboys' New Album In Full | MOJO

Here is a live version of Fisherman's Blues.

Here is their big Aussie hit, The Whole of the Moon, from back in the 80's.

Fiddle player Steve Wickham is I am pretty sure a sober alcoholic, and if I read between the lines of Mike Scott's autobio correctly, he is a sober alcky too.

For this tour they have Brother Paul Brown from Memphis, Tennessee on the organ. He is totally bonkers!!! You can see that he loves what he's doing - he's not just phoning it in. Not that you can blame musicians when that happens - no one is on 100% every single show. But anyway of all the band members, he was the most engaged with the audience and everyone went nuts for him. I grew up learning the organ and I HATED IT WITH EVERY FIBRE OF MY BEING. I wanted to play the piano, but no. I had to learn the organ. I can really appreciate what Paul Brown brought to the show and to the music. My dad would have loved it if was a little bit younger and not cranky as he has always been an organ/keyboard player. Here is an article I found about him.

Paul Brown

Dee I believe they played Sydney, the the Byron Blues Festival and then onto Japan in quick succession. We had great seats up in the balcony at the side of the stage, so we got a top view of the inner workings, so to speak.

I was surprised that the crowd went even more nuts for Fisherman's Blues than The Whole of The Moon. It was such a big hit in Australia at the time. I didn't get back into the Waterboys until about 15 years ago. My friend lent me all their albums and I was like "what have I been missing?"

I used to watch Felix as a kid. I always wanted to have that bag of tricks...

I'll have to listen to the tunes later. Gotta get ready to head up north for family visit and wife is sitting across from me working on her paper - I'm not allowed to make any noise when she is doing school work or it upsets her. I need to get my own "office".

Okay, who is Cody Simpson? For the past couple months Gold's Gym has been advertising this guy in concert. If I send a text to 77xxx I'll win two free tickets to see him live at the world cafe. It's in Philly and a part of the radio station I listen to wxpn.
Seems like a cute boy singer as far as I can tell. Anything special other than his good looks?
