Maximus.. We have a Riley as well! She was a shelter dog, lab hound mix and a true blessing in our lives! So glad you had a nice day with your grand son too.

brynn, I've never tried Brooks running shoes. I usually wear Mizunos but have recently started wearing the Saucony. I had never heard of Newton either. I'll let y'all know how they do.

FABL, so sorry things with your Dad went that way. It must be so hard for you, but you are handling it with much grace and strength, and I'm proud of you! You can weather the storm, but still look for the rainbows. How awesome is that, right? Cool to hear you have a Riley too. He sounds like a great dog.
MG, thanks so much for sharing your pic of your Riley. I'm so sorry for your loss, it hurts so much, but they are a blessing in our lives. I still am figuring out how to share my pics.

Good morning everyone!
Stressful time coming up for me today. I had a DUI in December. Today I have to go for an alcohol assessment at the county courthouse. The assessment is to determine the extent of the drinking problem and to recommend treatment, if the assessor deems it necessary. That becomes court ordered if recommended. I'm already in outpatient treatment, but if he recommends inpatient, I'll have to do it. That would be a major problem for me, as I am basically a single mom. So I'm hoping hoping I can be confident and positive in my recovery so that he sees what I'm already doing is working. It's a necessary evil in the DUI process, but it's just an icky (and expensive) thing to have to do. Hoping for the best.

Mariah- the ice cream sounds wonderful. I made applesauce bread yesterday. sorry about your Riley. He was really cute.

There are so many people here who run! I think that is great. I just speed walk two or three miles a day. I love it though!
