So I wake up at 730... it's white outside. very fine snow,,, start with 1 whole egg and 2 whites, chopped tomato and 1 avocado... wife gets home and says do something about driveway -- she made it just past sidewalk and slid backward... I'm in pj's you do something... music lesson today 20 miles away, deer hunting in the opposite direction later, it's 17 (-9) outside... I'm on day one of cold turkey from tobacco...

Venuscat, I was wondering how the surgery went. I hope the pain goes fast quickly and stays only a very bad memory.
It's super cold here. Minus 19 degrees Celcius. Don't know what it is in farenheit but it's painful and feels like minus 30 with the wind.

walkin in my winter underwear... oh yeah - I blew off huntin - didn't get home from music shop until 2P. Tomorrow is another day - it's -14 here. I'll be doubling up on winter underwear in the morning and the 2 inches of snow should be a nice background for seeing critters.
I wonder if any of you up north ever see the Red Green show. I catch it when I visit MI but haven't been in a while. I made it 24 hours and broke down. Looks like I'll try tapering off the pouches.
Some kid knocked on my door to clear the driveway - where are they when it's a foot of snow? Last few years when we had feets of snow no kids were to be found.
Hoping to get up before light and go out into the deep freeze. 3 doe tags to fill.

the surgery went well, although they almost killed me by giving me morphine which i am allergic to. my grandma died from this exact same mistake. idiots. it was on my chart. plus they used iodine and micropore tape, also allergic, also on chart and so my hand burned and blistered under the bandages. unbelievable.
i left this morning ama. tough for them. lucky if i don't sue them. i won't...not my style. have a nurse coming here for the next 3 days to help me that my sister is paying for.

My dad loved Red Green and would always insist on watching it---we all hated it. Poor dad.

I have never heard of The Red/Green Show. If you kids hated it, InPar, does that mean it's something like Hee Haw? 
Now I can't wait to watch it to see what all the uproar is about!

I quit smoking cold turkey after smoking a pack a day for around 15 years. Best thing I ever did. We didn't have patches back the. And the gum was so disgusting it was like licking an ashtray ( which would have been cheaper and probably far more effective!) you beat the demon drink I'm sure you will manage to quite smoking too.
VC so happy to see you back an in one piece ( just) I too am not the sort to sue, and would never suggest it unless someone is left permanently hurt or out of pocket, but I would suggest you write to the bosses asking them how it could happen and what they had put in place to prevent a recurrence. Better money is spent on improving nursing standards than on lawyers.
