24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 29
Signing in for 24 more, 2:30pm on Sunday.
Sending thoughts and prayers of peace and strength to all struggling. And a special prayer to Venus, charleesavedme, alysheba and tgirl dealing with family members health issues/care and the stress and emotions that come with that.
I've posted this before, but it is my favorite, so empowering...

It is indeed empowering, and much needed for me today.
Thank you all for your kindness and support.

Don't give up. You're back and this time you'll keep moving forward. Remember how important this is to you. Just look ahead and not back cuz you're not going that way anymore. We're here with ya!
I think most if not all people struggle a few times to get started -- there's a learning curve, how to live without a drink, and it's pretty steep. Just keep trying, don't give up, and you'll make it!!!

I used up all my images again! Here’s one of my favorite Christmas carols. Reminds me of my old man. The picture isn’t great but the voices are the best I could find.

Very special hugs for Aly, CSM and Venus. Caring for a suffering, ill or dying parent takes everything we have and a lot of what we don't have but somehow have to create and muster. Often times, we stop and wonder "Who cares for the caregiver?". I hope you can take some time out of each day to do something for yourself even if it is a cup of hot chocolate, 10 minutes for a warm bath, a brief meditation. And if someone asks if there is something they can do, I hope you find a way to let them, even if it is as simple as asking them to pick up a few things for you at the grocery store when they are doing their own shopping.
Prayers for you and your loved ones.

Alysheba-sending prayers and warm thoughts your way for you and your mother.
Venus-I am so sorry to hear about your father. I have been through several deaths in my family in which the death was fairly slow and it was extremely difficult. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
CSM-that is a beautiful story. I am so sorry for your loss.
