I've never been to a spa, either. Not even pedicures. Now I cut my own hair. Too much stranger danger for me. Which is ironic, given some of the stuff I've done. Or maybe, understandable.

Tam, I was crabby today too. Blame it on February. Zumba on!

Think it's the time of year when many people are crabby hope you both have a better day today. As you say Tam, it would be much worse drunk

Oh not too much pampering. Just swimming, steam, sauna, jacuzzi and stuff. Mainly lounging around reading which I love, enjoying the sea views. I usually have a massage but today am having a facial as looking old!! The place we're going to is renowned for its afternoon tea which is fabulous. I don't actually like tea ( I know I'm British but can't stand the stuff!!) so I have coffee. But the little sandwiches, cakes, scones etc are out of this world. Calorie counting forgotten for the weekend.

you can see the Grand Tea Lounge - it's like stepping back to the 1920s!! Trump Turnberry Scotland. ( I remembered not to link Dee )

Hello everyone How have your weekends been?

I have a new hobby - tea drinking. When I was out for afternoon tea on Friday there were 30 types to choose from. Not being a tea drinker I would normally choose coffee but I decided to give it a go and when for Silver Needle tea. Never heard of it but it is a type of white tea leaf with considerable anti oxidant properties. I really enjoyed it and imagine the more I drink the more I will enjoy it. So I have ordered some and a teapot. Maybe I will have Afternoon Tea parties

How we change over time. 5 years ago I would spend time looking at different types of wine. Now it's tea!!

Hope everyone is doing good and the quietness is people having fun living and not bad news. thinking of you all.x

Ready! You're becoming more English! Lol I have never heard of that tea either but I'm not a huge tea drinker.

Busy weekend, still doing projects around the house. Here are before and durings of the kitchen and bedroom.

oh wow! I love your kitchen. What a fantastic job you've done. It looks a really welcoming sort of place- the kitchen has got to be one of the most important rooms in the house imo

Thank you! I agree, and we have a breakfast bar to sit at so we do spend a lot of time in it. We gave a class on Saturday to learn how to change the flourescent lighting. Lord help the neighborhood. Lol

Dreary day here, hope everyone is well.

Tam, your place looks great -- I'd seen the fan before but the kitchen is sparkling! I love the blue!

I seem to need less sleep than I used to. I'm going to have to find something to do at night besides muck about on SR -- answer emails? Not tempting.

Hi everyone! I hope all are well. Congratulations on passing your personal best, Napster. I just made it to 13 months, so I've made it past where I got to before, still sober. High fives all around!

I've had some exciting news -- my son's getting married! When he told me, I swear I had the first splash of pure unadulterated happiness that I've had since the day he was born -- I'm being very literal, that also was a day of pure joy.

To be honest the emotion is a little too intense to be called comfortable or easy, and he's going to leave the US which is a little scary, and he's still very far from financial security which worries everyone, so there's a lot going on.

I'm not "future-tripping" (though my husband is), and I'm not drinking, so I guess I'm handling the excitement appropriately. I still lead a very quiet uneventful life, and very little touches me closely, but this does.

Anyway, just wanted my class to know.
