Class of August 2014 Part 14
London, I love your list, and I have no doubt you will accomplish all you set out to.
Pink, I love your "drinking is so last year!" LOL, your posts always give me a smile or chuckle.
ClearEyes, you are right - We have come very far, and we have all gained positives! Thank you for pointing this out; it is something I need to remind myself of when I get down.
Again, Happy New Year to one and all on Team August. You are the reason I am sober.

Hope all had a great day!
I ran 5 1/2 miles in the AM then went out for another 3 1/2 in the PM. So I'm pretty sore now. I'm in the midst of a sugar detox (no formal plan) so perhaps I'm just trying to run through it. . .
Great posts as always folks!

Just checking in to say happy new year! Spent the day with my PC gaming family-since I can't beat em'...
Great goals and accomplishments for everyone, and of course our best and shared success is our sobriety together!
I'm revamping my goals-that they were clear but I have more thinking to do.
Post more tomorrow!

Howdy Ho kids! Up early, set alarm for 5:30 to take little guy snow tubing in the mountains.
Another gift of sobriety. Even if I went, I would have been tired, dehydrated, just hungover and going through motions. Not now baby!
Enjoy the last few holidays and the gift we all have this year.
Great list there London by the way.
Giddy up!

Good morning,
I need a sugar detox, too, which is why I am going to try to do a week of South Beach starting Sunday. Hopefully I will be able to moderate my sugar intake after that and not have to give it up entirely. I have been way, way, way over the top with sweets the past few weeks; as bad or worse than when I quit alcohol in August. In my defense, it really helped me get through the parties, dinners and gatherings I went to. I have two more to go; lunch with the retired cousins today and an Open House tomorrow, which has been switched from evening to afternoon because of the weather forecast.
Have a happy, safe and sober day everyone.

I hear you Scooter!
I'm not planning to give up sugar entirely- I just know I've been over the top recently and I don't want the health benefits of giving up alcohol to be neutralized by another vice.
Have a fantastic day Team!

Checking in! Day 62, 1 slip/97 days! Feeling so lazy and almost guilty for relaxing south. Been off work since December 18. Had surgery on the 18th. I've been resting a lot. Spending time watching tv, snuggling my dogs. We did a few things over the break but I mostly rested. I keep waiting for the time when I don't feel so tired. I keep telling myself that this is normal, after so many years of running the daily race in CT.
