Congratulations on everybody celebrating today!! I thank my HP each night for giving me the day. I haven't been in recovery long, I just am truly so grateful for my life today. I was afraid to quit drinking, thought how could I get through it without wine? What kinda fun would a wedding,a vacation, or a weekend be without my Cab? Or Baileys?? Damn....wish I could have met myself way back when to reassure me, and that believe it or not , I would kick out really Living it in recovery!!

I worked late, and got off just in time for the local "agnostic" AA meeting. The topic tonight was, "To Thine Own Self Be True."
At 9:26 PM in the forest, I commit to another 24 hours of sobriety.

24 more please for day 19.....starting to feel like I'm over the initial hump, the thought of xmas no longer fills me with dread.....maybe now is a time to be especially vigilant.....not much sober time but the intense fear I felt at first is starting to diminish.
