Well done everyone |
I wish I could jump through this little laptop and give you all real life hugs! Kris, Leigh, grandpa, Gilmer, Zelda, 1new ..... THANK YOU! Your advice all helped me in one way or the other <3!!!!! THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION :) TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well today was a good day and it shows Dee and Anna are right (as always, lol) when they say the difference between a good day and a bad day is about a day! I refocused my efforts to beneficial areas and left the poor me crap in the past! I put the job search down for a day because I truly believe this is a lot of what's bringing me down. Rejection is no fun especially when you just put your life on hold to get a degree that is doing NOTHING for you right now! UGH! But I must stay positive and know something will happen!! I cant quit trying or I cant lose hope. And it sure the heck is NOTHING TO DRINK OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I looked at yesterday as a challenge to help make days like this more beautiful. I do thank my AV for reminding me this isn't no cake walk and that I am going to have to work my arse off to continue to GROW and recover!!! So, there, take that AV and shut the H#$$ up!!!!! |
double post |
Great post, growpath. You made me smile. Yeah, take that AV and that and that. |
I'd love to give everyone a hug too Growpath. Quite a unique group we have assembled here. :) I'll be needing 24 more sane and serene hours here in New York at 6:26pm. |

That was the year of the birth of Amtrak, the U.S. publicly funded rail system. In the late 1960s, the passenger rail system in the US was on the verge of disappearing due to increased transportation on the highways. In 1971 the federal government stepped in and created Amtrak. I think it was the following year that my grandmother took me and 2 cousins to Canada by rail. The trip started on Amtrak, which was still using the rolling stock and locomotives from the independent railway companies that were subsumed into the national system – what they call the rainbow era because the trains didn’t have the uniform look they now have and the company was experimenting with different locomotives and design styles. http://www.hebners.net/amtrak/amtE200/amt4316a.jpg I’ve since taken Amtak all over the country on lines like the Empire Builder, the Ethan Allen Express, the Southwest Chief, the Texas Eagle, the 20th Century Limited. I used to drink on the train, but train travel is one thing I didn’t ruin by drinking. I love the way being stuck on a train for 24 hours or more forces you to stop pushing and just let go. Keep chugging, and I’ll see you all tomorrow! http://www.habeeb.com/images/animated/animated_1117.gif |

:Fall22: I spent a few hours with my Sponsor today. She had outpatient surgery yesterday. So, I got to be her nurse for awhile..... She's used to being the caretaker! Ha ...but she was a very nice patient. A beautiful, Crystal clear & warm day. My mom's relatives are near Buffalo, NY ....soooo cold for them today. My SR friends in the area, I hope you're safe & warm tonight. I'm checking in for the next 24 hours of my recovery. Thanks to my HP & AA. :ring. Bobbi |
Made it home tonight without as much AV nagging as the past few days. I'm not letting my guard down but I enjoyed the peace of a less stressful drive home than usual. Had some leftovers, watched TV and I'm in my favorite place on a cold night under my heated blanket with my laptop and SR :) Checking in for another 24 hours at 10:25 PM in Indiana. |
