Class of November 2014
Happy sober Sunday everyone! I'm up early as usual, so grateful to be rested and hangover-free! Planning to go to the gym for a class, then swing by Trader Joes and home to do a cook up for the week. No more wasted weekends.
Hi all, today has been pretty relaxing so far. I slept pretty late (unheard of in my house!), put some short ribs in the slow cooker, cleaned, did some laundry, checked in here, and I might try to squeeze in a power nap. Exciting stuff, no? I hope everyone is having a great day.
Joining here. I waffled too much in October, and want a solid month to kick things off.
Sazzle, I knew you from that November too. here we are. I changed my name because I got sick of looking at how long I have been trying. I needed a fresh start.

Hello everyone! If like to join the class if you'll have me. It seems like several of us are in a similar situation- have joined a few classes in the past and are here for another shot at sobriety. Last year November I was able to go 6 weeks without a drink, before slipping back into my old ways. I'm committed to making this November the start of something even more successful!
Let's do this!!

Welcome 4surf4life! I think we're all in the same boat. I wanted to also say hi to everybody and hope that you all are having a great day.
It's been a busy day for me working on a report that is due Tuesday. Went to Piyo a bit early and saw that they had a bulletin board on mindfulness at the gym. It had some wonderful quotes about the importance of how your thought processes can affect how you're feeling and how to cope by remaining in the moment and focusing on the positive.
It's sort of weird since I think even just several weeks ago, I would have looked at it and wouldn't have given it a second thought. However, I found encouragement from it.

Turning in. It was easy to be sober today. Not sure why. Maybe because I binged on Halloween candy all weekend! That is not going to solve my issue of wanting to shed some pounds, but, I had no cravings to drink tonight.
Drove the kids to a few things today, made a good meatloaf dinner, and relaxed as well.
Tired tonight and headed to bed. Think I may be getting a cold.
