Hi Everyone, I think I'll join this month.
I've been actively trying to quit since the beginning of this year...although I started with an idea of "cutting back" or "abstaining for a few weeks". It never worked for me and I know I need more of a definite plan. Most recently I had about 60 days and was doing very well and then slipped last weekend. So thought I'd join this group.
I think the more support the better going into the holidays!
Hope all is well

Hi all, I thrashed around and didn't start to get my act together until the end of October, so I'm here to make a stronger start in November. Third class is the charm?
It's cold here in DC this morning! I took my older son to soccer practice, came home and took a hot bath with mineral salts. Then I made a big salad with some naan bread. I would LOVE to take a nap, but this hour of relaxation is about to come to a close.
Have a great day, everyone!

Two years after my original attempt to quit alcohol, I return almost to the day. It's a complete coincidence but makes me feel that perhaps this is it! Sick of hangovers, sick of every Friday night turning into a bingefest, sick of dull skin & bloating, sick of basically making an ass of myself.
Hi to everyone in the November group. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Kim
I hope this helps.
Welcome, you guys!
I'm from the November, 2013 class and am coming up on a whole year sober. It's great to be part of a group that all starts together, because you get to know one another and share the same temptations, struggles, and triumphs. Everybody supports one another and is genuinely pleased when you do well.
Best of luck to all of you!

I haven't really shared much, but this has been my day so far:
Went to spinning in the morning, went and got some new teas which I am very excited about. I got some more gingerbread roobios and also got a strawberry champagne oolong. Tea has been my go-to beverage since quitting alcohol, especially at night when I tended to drink.
