So, my turn for a happy announcement....it seems we have been blessed by love on this thread. Last Saturday my beautiful man asked me to marry him, so I guess I am officially engaged.

Also, are in still in SF? Please email me if you are. I didn't see one come in. I apologized for not being proactively checking in, I have been swamped this past week with family in town for both holiday and my sister's wedding (yesterday).
Good news: My sisters wedding was beautiful. It was also yesterday (exhale!) I am so exhausted. I haven't slept much in the past 5 days, so I just crawled into bed right when I got home an hour ago despite it being in the middle of the day. I'm too caffeinated to sleep, but I'm about as useful as a pile a mashed potatoes. Perhaps mushed potatoes is even more descriptive
No late "festivizing" for me, just ended up picking up the event coordinator role, managing unaware family members emotions/energy, and running all the behind the scenes stuff.
Anyway, I've missed you guys and wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you! (((((hugs))))))

4th Year Anniversary
Hi Febbies!
I got a little reminder on my calendar today: tomorrow marks 4 years of living sober for me.
Wow! How did that happen so quickly? Gosh, time wise it is equivalent to completing high school, or a university degree. That's a lot of "1 day at a time" adding up! I'm still absorbing it....
Of course, it made me think of you all. It's been a while & I'd love to hear what's new with you.
No news is good news here. I'm still sober. Still with my fiance. Sister got married late Nov in a beautiful ceremony with great weather (always risky, but she had good luck!) Then I went home home to Ohio to see family for 2 weeks at Xmas, saw grandma, and drove my mom's old car (my xmas present) back to CA in a 4 day dash. Since I got back I've been excitedly checking off items on my to-do list that I just never seemed to have the energy to do last November, but now it seems like a breeze. So I'm just rolling with it. No wedding planning headway yet though - I'm still procrastinating
In short, life is stable at the moment - and for that I am grateful.

Serene darling ~ I am so very sorry I let you down in SF. Gosh, I was so sick. No idea how I even made it back here. I was actually terrified they would haul me away at Melbourne airport thinking I had some communicable disease.
And wedding planning....yes....I am doing that as well. All we have so far is when. And who we would like to be there. And that we don't want a reception as such, and definitely no alcohol. But we are waiting until I get back there (home) to decide more of the details. And that will be soon ~ sooner than we thought.
