I like your avatar/picture Yukon. It made me think that when I am drinking the roles are reversed: I am a lion looking in a mirror and seeing a house cat. I feel big and powerful yet inside I am small and scared. |

Good morning, all. I was so busy this week at work. But, I'm still here and still in recovery. I'm taking the kids to the State Fair this weekend and looking forward to that. The weather is so beautiful this time of year. Thanks to all who post here. |

24 more, please. Another 1st last night - 1st sober concert almost ever. Not only that, we were even on the band bus (hubby used to work w/the band) where free liquor is plentiful & was offered a few times. Nothing. Not even a stirring or curiosity or temptation. AV didn't even rear it's ugly head. Crazy weird, huh? I LOVE IT! Hubby & I stuck to our club sodas & limes & had a great time. I actually remember the concert & every interaction/conversation with the band. Thanks to everyone here today. Enjoy your sober Saturday. I know I will. 7:18 a.m. in TX. |

Congrats Altoids and StayingSober!! In for 24 more...11:00am on Saturday. Looking forward to a weekend filled with halloween festivities...decorating, haunted hayride...running all around with my kids...soccer games, birthday parties...and the normal weekly chores...grocery shopping, laundry. Lately I've been doing alot of reflecting on my drinking past and it reminds me how truly grateful I am for the simple things, the freedom, that sobriety has brought back to my life. |
