I wanted to take a moment to thank the SR community. You don't know how much you all have helped me and I'm truly grateful I've found you.
I come here all the time and share my problems and heartaches. Both in the newcomers and family side of the house.
With that being said, I wanted to take a moment to share the good things in my life.
I'm a 44 year old female with a great career I've been at for 15 years. I have my own home, a nice ride, great friends and family.
I am really open on this forum. I guess that's what it's for. I thank you all for listening to me.
I guess my point is, even tho I share a lot of my problems, that's not all my life consists of. There's good parts of it too.
I just wanted to take a moment to say I'm making a commitment to myself to share the good and bad. That's how recovery works

I'm checking in for another 24 hours of my recovery, thanks to my HP & AA.
Congratuations to those marking a milestone of sobriety today.....doing it ODAAT. Courage, I'm a BIG I Love Lucy fan. So, looking at the Martians in your post caused my Lucy brain to go to Lucy & Ethel on top of the Empire State Building episode. Whew...was that a run on sentence? Enjoy the night everybody!Bobbi

Sorry I missed tonight's check-in. I've been busy since stepping back on land. I missed tonight's AA meeting too (unintentionally). Time just slipped by. But I'm here and still sober!!!

12amET...MD;that was very cathartic yest & glad let it out on here or maybe done something would regret! House mgr was apologetic & accepted his apology. Had a podiatrist appt this mrg & in waiting room did some meditation where God reminded me of a line in prayer that says may I seek "to understand rather than be understood" when all that's running through my head is what about me & doesn't anyone understand me? So that kicked selfishness out for today! Bwahahaha!!! I read a saying recently "Forget what hurt you in the past. But don't forget what it taught you". How timely. 24 more will certainly help
