I'm not posting much at the moment here, hectic, but thinking of you all.

Hello all. I have been so busy I have been running to catch myself. I travel to my daughters the week before school starts to be with the grandkids as she is a teacher and starts a week before them. Had a blast. We made lots of treats for lunches and put them in the freezer. Spending time with the grandkids warms my heart. It is good to see you all. Have a great day.

Sorry to hear about that Bob I wouldn't know what to do if I was in your shoes, it can always get worst just add booze. Good luck and I hope you find your way.

Well, today is my last day finally.
Busted my butt all week to pack up our entire shop and offices for transport back to the main branch.
I am so tired and actually sore from all the bending and lifting.
It will be strange leaving this place for the last time after 23 years.

I hope in the future you'll be able to look back on this as a new beginning Bob

I agree with Dee, Bob. It probably feels like a slap in the face now, and it may take some time, but I too hope you look back and feel at peace with it.

Coincidentally tonight I was reading through my journal way back in April when I was pretty much pushed out of my job. So much personal growth has happened for me since then. It's been hard, harder than I probably outlined here, but it's slowly unfolding into the best thing that could have happened.

Your friends here support you Bob. We understand it's not easy mate.

Hi Dee, glad you are all settled in now

Hi to everyone else too! Today is hubby and my 5 year wedding anniversary. We are going out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate and my daughter is going to try and have her first sleepover at my Mom's. It's special occasions like this that I wish I could enjoy champagne/wine and drink like a normal person. Sigh. Oh well, I know I can't so it's no use even fantasizing about. Go away AV!!

Can't believe it's the last weekend of summer over here. Not much else planned for our Labor Day weekend except for our night out tomorrow. What is everyone else up to this weekend? Happy Friday

Hello all my Julyers!

I have missed you all! I just finished covering for a coworker who was out on six months of maternity leave, then another coworker who took a two week vacation. Now it will be my turn. I go in this morning for surgery on my left wrist to relieve my arthritis pain. The doctor says it's going to be quite painful after, but I'm looking forward to less arthritis pain down the road.

I'm written off from work initially for two weeks but it could be longer. Per the doc I'll really have to baby my hand for a month and it could take 3-6 months to fully heal. Believe me, my health comes first and I'm not going to force myself to return to full duty before I'm ready.

I'll probably be pretty knocked out for the next fews days but I'm looking forward to catching up on all I've missed with you folks while I'm on the mend.

Every morning I'm so thankful to be sober.
Oh and my BF has over five months sober. So so proud of him!

Take care all....I'll be back sometime next week.

NCG

Happy Anniversary Ladybug! Hope your little one enjoys her sleepover. Fingers crossed as that will come in handy when bubs arrives.

Hi NCG...lovely to hear from you. Best news ever that your boyfriend is still not drinking.

Good luck with your surgery.

Thanks, Crois. Yes, we are hoping we don't get a 2am wake up call to go get her. She has slept through the night without us before, but only with my mom staying here at our house with her. She has never slept over anywhere else so we'll see ... How are you doing?

Oh dear, noooo, don't jinx yourself with a 2am call.

I am definitely crossing my fingers and toes for you!

Yes, all good here. I've had a lot on, some stressful things - but have been eating really healthy and boy does that help! I'm a lot calmer and energetic.

I'm definitely in the rhythm of looking after myself and sobriety, meditating and reading every day to keep on track too.

I hope you get some rest in the coming weeks...what are you now? 26 weeks or something? I always thought 28-32 weeks were the best.

Will be 26 weeks on Sunday! Impressed you got it right on Yes, besides the weight gain, this is such an enjoyable time of the pregnancy. Feeling her kick/move all the time and still have some energy to do things (except at night ) I am usually ready for bed by 8 or 9. My daughter touches my belly everyday and either says "my baby sister is really growing" or "mommy, your tummy is getting really big". I prefer the first one

Haha...that's so cute!

Yes, the tiredness kind of whallops you all at once, I found. I'd be dying for sleep in the afternoon! It's nice to have that bit of mobility still and feel the baby move so much, it starts to become so real then!
