24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 12
Been extremely stressed out lately, but amazingly staying sober. Proud of myself. Glad I'm embracing recovery instead of abstinence like I used to.
We have blue herons on our pond. I look at them with my binoculars. I agree with you guys that they are awesome birds !! Beautiful creatures.
Anyway, another sober 24 for me. Robin, Albany, NY, 8:50 a.m.

Checking in for another 24 hours.
Robin, you are so right when you say that embracing recovery - the good and bad - is really important. It has made all the difference to me this time too. I'm thinking of you today and anyone else struggling with life's trials.

Toots in for 24 more, sending strength to any one struggling today. We may wish to use our addiction to hide from the worst life throws at us, but it is when we are able to deal with life's trials sober that we begin to see how strong and capable we are able to be.
Day 10 & I'm here again! Happy Sober Sunday all!!
8:37 a.m. in Dallas.
Robin - I was where you are a few years ago. My dad died 1 1/2 years ago. It is difficult to watch and live through. Support is paramount. We had a counselor who was a specialist in alzheimers for our family. She helped us with decisions, directed us through some of the options, and listened. I'll be praying for you.
AND . . . .I'm signing in for another 24.

Happy Sunday everyone. It's 8:20 am and I am in for another sober 24 hours.
I think that there should be an International Seneca day, don't you? Maybe I should petition the United Nation or something...anyway, here is another quote by my friend Lucius
