Well, it was a lot better this year, Disc. Did my research and some soul searching. Went to my doctor and got some anti-depressants to get me through the hard part. Now, I'm weaning off those.

Hey, Dee!

WTG Trach!

Have you looked in on the daily "today I will not drink" thread?

And the same for the weekends?

I found/find those to be a big help for me. As if someone who cares about me is looking over my shoulder.

Take a look here:

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...part-24-a.html

There will be another one tomorrow or Friday for the weekend.

How are you doing CaliChris?

Too cold to play tennis now or do you have access to indoor courts?

I am enjoying the cold weather, about 8 degrees F or -13 C. I was mostly prepared for it this year for a change and have had no problems. Just wish we would get some moisture and snow. These cold temps are not good for the garden without a snow blanket to insulate them.

Hope everyone has a fun and sober weekend.

trach!

BeccyBean, my sober date is March 5, too. Welcome to our corner.

Discovery, no job yet. Apparently one needs to do this job search thing daily until one finds a job,

Calichris, nice to see you. and congrats on the 100!

Wow Bimini that dancing thing makes me dizzy

You're right, I think you have to treat a job hunt like you would a job. IE full time. Seems a bummer though.

Chris I didn't remember that it was that warm in Cali. It has been many years since I was there in the winter. I have roasted there in the summer from time to time in recent years.

Congrats on the 100 days Keep it up!

'Warm' is relative Disc.

It is quite cool in the morning this time of year (cool enough to see your breath). Afternoons are just gorgeous (around 63-65 degrees F (17-18C)). Also I am in Northern California. About 10 degrees (F) cooler than Southern California in the Winter.

We'll see the 60 degree temps here too, in April!

The winter is great though. The familiar world around one takes on a totally different look when covered in snow. With the leaves gone the view is quite different. It is a good break from yard maintenance as well.

239 days today...

...but who's counting?

Checking in with the class of March (28th, for me). Not my first sobriety date, but I am hoping it will be the last. I wanted a cool SD, but I guess I should try to keep this one!

How is everyone. For the people who celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you have a great holiday. For the people who don't I hope you have a great week and I'll eat some turkey for you. I just hope I can still count to 20 by Thursday.

I'm not talking about days talking about toes and fingers

Hey MrFixIt

I will be cooking a turkey on Thursday also. I would prefer chicken or stirfry but the family voted me down

Hope things are going well for you.

My dinner contributions will be brussel sprouts in butter sauce, brown sugar glazed carrots, and a pecan pie.
