Thanks Dee! That probably makes more sense than my plan.

Good to see your name Bimini

You'll always be in the Class of March 2014, Discovery.

If I was in your situation I would definitely join up in one of the current threads, like January 2018: it will be more active and I bet you will be a big help to the newer members - after all, you know the gig.

Glad you are back and not drinking.

Thanks Bim!

I will probably get around to that.

After three days and a little bit I am feeling fine. Much better than I remember from last time. Maybe it has something to do with only having binged for 5 months instead of for years. We'll see in the days ahead.

Hi Discovery, crikey it's been a while since I typed that phrase.
I'm in the January class under a new guise. I was just nostalgically looking back through old posts and saw you back in the Marchers. I see Bim around SR and doing well. Sorry to hear about your accident and subsequent relapse. Start again old friend. You know that you can.
Sparkos. (Don't tell anyone )

Thanks Sp... uh Trohyn

I am getting along pretty well now, hoping to get back on my bicycle this season and do some long rides. We'll see.

Anyway today is Day 10, whoopee! So far it is going well. Long way to go to get back to my 3 years sober but life is what it is. Looking forward to actually being able to do something this Summer besides PT, drugs, and drinking.

Last time I used ice cream as a substitute for booze and I gained about 15 pounds. This time I am drinking tea and working to lose about 10 pounds in anticipation of getting back on the bicycle.

Hope all are doing well. When I have more time I will transition my posts over to one of the more active threads as Dee and Bimini suggested. Right now I am running flat out.

Things are really good Dee74. I will celebrate 5 years on March 23rd. I am still very active in AA and turning myself over to a whole new life. I am a sober & present mom, my marriage is a happy one, and my career is reaching new levels. I owe it all to recovery & AA.
I am eternally grateful to this site that led me there.

Be well!!!!

6 years sober today. Woah.
Hopefully you're all still in the sober boat as well.

I thought about you yesterday, BerryBean - sober twin. Our shared sober date means I will likely always think of you on March 5. Congratulations to you. To us.

I'm still right there with you.

Yesterday wasn't very celebratory for me! The day didn't go in a very positive direction, apparently the Universe didn't get the memo that it was a special day.

Could have been so much worse had I drank. No way I'll let that happen.

Good to see you.

Lol Bim. That's pretty much what I said at my meeting lady night. Wasn't there supposed to be party games and hats?? Expectations are a real danger zone. Anyway. Glad we're still both on the journey.
Much love. BB xx

I have a little sticky note in my bathroom that says,

"Expect nothing. Appreciate everything."

Blessings, BerryB.
