I've been away from this thread for nearly a month. I wasn't drinking, I was hiking the John Muir Trail; 220 miles of up and down in the California Sierra Nevada. I completed the walk successfully but have decided I'm getting too old for this sort of thing (77). I'm glad to be back here. |
Sat Sat Sat Race day 2 for the Milwaukee Mile.. we started out well breakfast with so many nice people from so long ago... 1 in the afternoon the noise level was just to much.. I needed a drink.. opt'd for coffee with Ice.. it helped.. hubby and I have come to the idea that as we age and we no longer drink.. maybe a couple of hours in a far turn for the race is better then the complete crowd.. Iam up for another 24 Sunday was better lots of people and time went by fast.. prayers to all on this path of new beginnings. ardy wisconsin... |

Hi all. Today day 22, again, and I'm feeling a little short tempered and reactive. So not only will I be signing in for another 24 hours of sobriety, I will also be pledging to myself to try and be extra vigilant about my thoughts and emotions today. I will take a deep breathe and think, while I stay away from the drink! Sorry, I couldn't help myself, I just had to rhyme there. |
Tuesday 6.20 am - off to work today - it's raining again but I love life sober. Thanks SR. Committing for another 24 hours. |
