Checking in , back drinking again , its the same old story, I just like it , if I didn't have a health problem I wouldn't even be trying to stop. Sorry.

Mirage glad the reunion went well, that sounds like a lot of work and stress.

PBC congrats on your sober time, your doing great!!!

Hi Dee , hope your doing well , thanks for asking how I am.

Group hug.

I'm sorry to hear that Aussie.

I gotta ask - and apologies if it's confronting - but do you really want to die this way C?

Sometimes I just don't care , I do know this will kill me if I don't stop . I am always going over it in my head .
I am miserable without it , so in the end it gets the better of me. I am not a strong person.

I don't believe that you're not a strong person, and I don't believe you'll always be miserable without it.

I do believe that you've convinced yourself of those things tho - just like I did, and I was wrong .

Would Mr Aussie ever consider not drinking (or not drinking at home) to support you?

I doubt it and he shouldn't have to , he can have one drink and be happy with that where I want to keep going , he enjoys a good glass of wine with a nice meal , he can put the lid back on the bottle and finish it another day , I don't want to take that away from him , I don't like the big drinking sessions with the boys when I am trying to be sober, that is a deal breaker.

Please do , and ask to give me the will to stop , after this small conversation I feel a little stronger and a bit of hope that I can get it to stick.

Checking in,
just to let you all know I have joined September 15 group, I am on day 2 with my tail between my legs after a big couple of weeks of drinking . I joined September because it is just to quiet here . I will still be looking in and hope to hear from you all.
Love you all my March friends thanks for all the support you have given me in the past.

Way to go, aussie! Yes, I think joining a group that's hopping with posts and optimism is a very good thing to do. We're old and tired. lol Seriously, support is so important and we're just not on here every day. Good luck, my friend! Let us know how you are doing! We love you, too!

I agree with Mirage. I still post sometimes on my September '13 group, too. It really helped me, especially in the first year. Congrats on Day 2!

My youngest will be going back to school on Tuesday, so we're gearing up for that at the moment. The middle girl moved back to college a few weeks ago. My project this weekend is to turn an abandoned bedroom into a guest room. We bought a new bed, so now I get to shop for bedding, a new nightstand, a lamp, some art, and whatever else I can think of to make it more grown-up and inviting. I love stuff like this!

Hi all!
Sounds like fun, PBC! Hope your youngest likes her classes. My boys started back to school yesterday, too. They seem to like their classes ok, just a little disappointed in who is in them. Not enough friends! Hopefully they will make some and enjoy the classes. My youngest is trying out for soccer this week, for his middle school team. I have no idea if he'll make it. He hasn't played every year or anything, so who knows. My high schooler will be trying out for his school's production of Les Miserable. That'll be exciting to find out who got what part. I started physical therapy on my shoulder today. Looks like a rotator cuff problem. Gonna go 3 days a week for about 6 weeks and will take time off tennis during that period. Not looking forward to THAT, but hopefully it'll help.

I guess that's the update on my not so exciting life! haha.

How are you doing, aussie? Are Lofty and Dave around lurking? Hope you're doing well, if you are! I think frances and bryan only pop in occasionally. Hi to you to both! How are you, Dee? Hangin in?

Happy hump day, Marchers!

Mirage your not so exciting life has a lot more to report than mine, I am just doing the same old things day in day out , so I don't really have any thing to post at the moment. I am on DAY 10 struggling a bit with emotions , getting depressed about not being able to drink, the same old story from me, I know. I have given up on September class there are to many people over there and no one speaks to me so I will stay here where you all know me. School holidays are coming up in a week so I should be busy with work. The weather is warming up here in Aus. that is depressing for me also , if I had the money I would be one of these people who move around with the seasons and lived in cool places all year round .

Aw, I'm sorry you're not feeling supported in the group. I know in the beginning those monthly threads are really busy. I actually wrote people's "name"s down and a few notes on them so I could remember who was who. Maybe if you choose to stay there, too, something will click and you'll find more camaraderie. Whatever works, girlie. The early days were so hard, I can empathize with you. Glad you'll be staying busy. 10 days is great..keep up the good work, weather be damned!
