Hi friends, just saying HI. It's going to be MARCHER MONTH in a few days!

Life is good and strong here.

We learned last week that my dad has late-stage prostate cancer, his numbers are over 500, and he's not a candidate for any treatments, nor does he want any. The doctor thinks he has a good year or 2 left. So there's been a lot of time spent with dad, starting to make arrangements, will, power of attorney (me), health care proxy (me).

The best thing in my life is my DH. He's just 100% wonderful.

I'm creating a new kind of job that combines business and sustainability. It's been a rocky road, but I think, I THINK, I have commitments to pay me that together will net me a proper income.

In lots of upset and unknown, my core is knowing that ALL IS OK.

I'm sending prayers for our Marcher Family members who are drinking and drugging. ********{Sobriety Prayers}}}}}}

****{Frances}}} I am so sorry about your father.
I was just going to pm Mirage to find out if she knew where you were and then you turned up here. Prayers sent for your father and the new job.
I hope you can drop in a bit and let us know how things are going.

Aw frances, I'm sorry about your dad. That's so hard. I've been thinking a lot about my parents and their futures lately. Life can be ridiculously painful in that way. I'll be thinking about you.

Happy March, everyone! Can you believe we've been here as a group for FOUR years?! We're awesome! I'm so happy March is here, I'm getting so tired of winter! I'm ready for even just a little warm up. We've been hit with lots of sub zero weather for the last few weeks, it's been pretty rough. I'd love to see some of this snow melt.

Hope you are all doing well. Things are good here! Nothing really new to report, which is probably good, right? haha You guys down under cooling off? Fall always feels so good after summer heat. Hope you're getting relief.

Later Marchers! Keep your eyes on sobriety and keep marchin!

Congratulations, Frances!!! You da bomb!!!

And that said, I'm so sorry for all you're going through with your dad. How beautiful that you have peace in the storm, though. Your strong heart will be a calming breeze over the whole situation for all involved.

Mirage, I hear ya on winter. Days are longer now, though, and we've had a bit of sunshine, and it *IS* March, so there is hope!

All is well here. I've been a bit over-worked, but it's okay. At least I love my job!

Man, I'm having a crap day and here is the only place I can complain about it and not feel stupid. lol Kids are home today due to a teacher's professional development day. So first, this morning, I check my emails and I have one from that best friend of 30 years I had, the one I recorded the songs with. I hadn't heard from him since he de-friended me on facebook cuz his new wife was jealous. Anyway, I was letting that whole thing go and he up and emailed me explaining things and getting things off his chest so HE'D feel better. How nice for him. So that got me all upset all over again. Then, because it is snowing and sleeting, T and I went out to shovel. I figured it might be good for me to get a little work out and clear my head. Well, I pulled my back. GAH! Came in took ibuprofen and am icing it. It really freakin hurts. Had to cancel B's ortho appt. So now my heart AND my body hurts. lol T has been acting weird all day so I thought there was something wrong with him, but he seems better. I know teenagers don't confide in their moms much, so I get a little worried when he seems out of sorts and not happy. So yeah, I'm not loving this day. I feel like it's just been a rough few months.

That's all, carry on! Have a great day, everyone!

Mirage, I remember you posting about that friend before and how hurt you were by him, sorry your hurting again over him sorry about your back too , its really hard to get comfortable when you have pulled your back , there's not much you can do but rest.

PBC good to see you! Happy month of March to ya!

Still not much to report from me , except for the first time in years I can say I have dropped a couple of pound on the scales , I guess not drinking all that wine everyday may have something to do with it , the thing is there have been plenty of other times I have stopped and exercised and not lost a thing. I hope this trend continues.

Have a great day everyone.

Thanks you guys, I needed a little love tossed my way. Good news is that T seems fine. He had a bad headache, I think that's all is was. His gf is over now.

That's great, aussie! For me, there wasn't nearly the quitting drinking/weight loss correlation I was looking for. Didn't matter a smidge and frankly, I don't understand it. I think my metabolism slowed down a bit, being in my 40s. Glad you're feeling good!

Maybe that was it for me too Mirage , when I first tried to stop I was going through menopause and that's a time the body likes to store fat.

I'm so sorry for your bad day, Mirage. That sucks.

Happy March to you, too, Aussie! How many days/months are you up to right now?

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, but after this week things should be settling back down to a normal pace. Between family and sports and social stuff and working 50+ hours per week lately, I'm bushed. I am the keynote speaker at a conference tomorrow night, then I have a tv segment on Friday, and then I think I get to rest. I really wanted to sleep a little today, but that would have meant skipping my AA meeting and I feel a little vulnerable lately because I'm so tired. I am a personal coach for a couple people tonight, and as soon as I get off the phone I'm going to bed. Hopefully that will be by 9:30 or so.

Dee, how have you been lately? What's new in your world?
