I'm still in the class of June, but really like being in these monthly ones so I'm in :-) Might have a decent job opportunity so fingers crossed I get it!Lovely day to stay sober and get things done today.
It is Day 2 for me, but thought I would join the July group. With the 4th coming up, this weekend will be a bit of a challenge. Looking to make this a permanent change, not just a band aid fix. Looking for a sober July and beyond.

Hi,
This is Day 1 for me again, as well. I had 4 days last week, but then fell again on the 5th. I felt so much better on Day 3 and Day 4 that I am curious to see what Day 31 would be like. So I am committing today to Day 1 on July 1 and hope to make it to Day 31.

I made it to 9 days and stressful circumstances led me to relapse....damn. I was actually pretty proud of what I was accomplishing in the meantime though, and I feel like I can do this for real now.
Day 1 for me.
Day 1 for me.
I will be joining the July group.....
Been on SR for awhile....Managed to get several months pulled together at one point....
Needless to say I am starting over.....and can say...after 31 days you will feel better...

Hi, July Sobers)
I am from class October 2012, and would like to welcome everyone who's decided to become sober/clean.
I know, at the beginning it may be quite scary, and quite rough, but it's the absolutely best way to live the life. Give it a try and never give up.
It is getting better. I promise)
Best of luck to all!
P.S. SJ - My special greetings to you.

The Class of October 2013 sends a warm welcome to everyone in the July class!
The monthly support group was HUGE in my recovery. I know it will be the same for many of you.
I ran across the following quote this morning:

So true. Make today the first day of a new life. You can do it.

July 1 - day 1
I am new here. And today is my DAY 1 (AGAIN). My story is I drink WAY TOO MUCH wine. I hide it pretty well. I don't think my husband knows how bad things are. But today is the day I want to really really do this. I am willing to take any advise and support you are all willing to share.
Hello all you lovely new Julyers
I'm from the July 13 class and just reached my 1 year birthday on Saturday .
When i joined i really was sick and tired of doing a day one and not being able to function .
But i got sooo much help from people in here SR. i honestly thought i wouldn't make the week , but really guys you need to give it a good crack
Try a week as your goal , then 10 days , then a month etc
Each time you make one of these milestones it's an acheivement . If i can do it , anyone can , seriously .
I wont say it was easy cos i had struggles and temptations along the way .
I have never seen anyone here , in all the thousands of posts i have read , say they were glad they relapsed .
Every single person has had regret , guilt , sickness , disappointment etc
Being sober was the biggest gift i could have given myself .
If anyone needs some extra help , please feel free to PM . I will always reply .
We also have a 24 hour sign in thread which really helps us newbies in early recovery .
GOOD LUCK ;-)
You all deserve to live a happy life and get the real YOU back.
Much love xxxxx
