Finished day 5. AV started kicking in about 4:00, before the end of my shift. Craving just one drink. I did not give in and drove right past that party store. It's been a long time since I made it this far (though it doesn't seem like much). I'm looking forward to day 6 and getting a little stronger each day. Welcome newcomers and hope everyone stays strong��

Crummy day at work, made me think I needed a drink. But I don't and I didn't. Took the kids to the library and then to get a small pool afterwards. They made me laugh so hard splashing around and yelling with glee. I could have missed all of that if I went in the other direction. I know that for now, I have to live in a small space like Harry Potter's closet as the rest of the big world is too much for me to handle. But I will learn and I will ride out of that closet one day like Ghostrider Stay strong class of July. We CAN do this!!!

Congratulations on all of the milestones today! Tomorrow is day 10 for me. Can't wait to reach double digits again! I never want to go back. I just wish my AV would shut the f*** up and let me live my life in peace!!

I'm joining the class of July '14- my last drink was July 6 so it's been 9 days. The first few days were really rough physically and then emotionally when my bf broke up with me out of the blue. Still, by the the grace of my Higher Power and with the support of my sisters in recovery, I didn't drink. Today I can say without reservation that I am powerless over alcohol and my life has become unmanageable. Today, I choose myself and my sobriety.

Start of day 6 for me. Just had breakfast, worked out for a short while and took my meds. Time to get busy working and living. I feel great these days!
