Hi everyone! I joined about a week ago and have been mainly reading in here, I have been looking forward to this July group starting. I'm looking forward to helping support each other thru a sober month and beyond! I'm on day 4 and really need it to stick this time. This 4th of July, I'm gonna remember it and not wake up wondering what the heck happened!

Hope you all have a great night and thanks to the graduates for dropping in here with all your great vibes and advice!!!!

Hi new July class. I am from the July 2013 class and want to welcome you. You have found a great home. I hope you will support on another as you walk forward. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. There is an online meeting here tonight at 8 pm central and another one on Friday, 8 pm central. My advice is come here often, read all you can and help others along the way. As you help them, it will help you. I am not saying it is easy, but it can be done, and life is so much better without the booze. Big hugs to all of you.

Hey julyers...welcome to what I believe to be the eestbof the best places to find support, encouragement and advice. We r all in this together, not one of us different from the other in that. Soooo, buckle up, the ride will be bumpy at times, but I asuure you that it will be so very worth it if u are committed and at wits end with your addiction. I am still a baby in sobriety with 53 days today, and those days have been up and down, but I will say each day gets a litlle easier and the cloud over my head fade s a little more. My prayer and wish formall of you is that you love yourselves enough to do this for you, and the others in your life that you love will benefit from you loving you.

Way to get started! I will be checking in as I said cause I am still a baby, and these monthly threads are so very helpful in my recovery journey. ☺

Hey so I was apart of the May 2012 class and yeah life got in the way and things went to ****. But I'm back. I'm now married and my drinking problems and his anger problems are ruining things. We're trying to have a kid but hey we have no buisiness being parents until we straighten things out.

Then there's an interesting curve ball. I have found that I have a talent for selling alcohol. I've gone from aimless and no idea what I want in life to being manager of a wine and spirits department. I'm good at what I do but it's killing me and I can't give it up because then I'd have nothing for a career. So I am so confused on what to do with myself. I need to stop for myself and my family but I don't know how to balance that with my job.

Is there any reason you can't quit drinking and still work there?

I certainly understand the struggles as I try to stay sober around a family of alcoholics.
