Quitting pot (and alcohol) for good - III
Cheers Buddy, I really think this time will be forever, the drinking i done up until a few days ago was no longer enjoyable and that memory will not fade as last time i kinda thought at times that i was missing out on something but now i have cemented the fact in my head that all i was missing out on was a heavy head and empty wallet!
Take care guys, catch up later.

Just checkin in to say HI to everyone. Just pluggin along, one day at a time here. Happy to be clean. Have lots of stress in my life right now, but I know pot would just make it alot worst, so we stay the course. Hope everyone else is doing well.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend, my withdrawals have been nothing like the first time thankfully, I'm just under 1 week so I'm thinking the physical withdrawals should now be gone and just to deal with the psychological effects now which are pretty tough, I've had around 2-3 hours sleep in the last 3 nights which is tough, I don't like taking sleeping pills etc so have just cut out caffeine drinks etc and hope that will not keep me too buzzed to sleep.
Rant over, hope you all are having a good one.
Catch up later.

Hey Stoogy, nice to know your withdrawals are not so bad this time. Good thing to help sleep and avoid cravings is high doses of niacin (vitamin b3) combined with b complex and vitamin c in high doses too. That's what I read and what I'm doing for some time now. Also taking silymarin (milk thistle) to help liver detox and many other vitamins and minerals. Well I'm an enthusiast.
Having a nice weekend here, today it's very hot and dry, I'm gathering courage to walk to the gym LOL.

Hey Buddy, Im a big fan of Vitamins too, take a high dose vitamin B every other day along with a C dose and an Iron so i do think that has helped me this time to avoid the worst of the symptoms, Funny thing is i don't even have a craving for alcohol at all, I have to get back into my fitness regime too once i get through the first 2 weeks, i done 15 miles every day on my exercise bike for 6 months up until my slip recently so once i feel my energy and sleep are back to 100% ill be back to it.
Enjoy the Gym my friend.
Advice required guys, I'm terrified of flying, always have been but I tended to have a few drinks in the airport to calm down, I'm flying this coming Friday to mainland Europe and I'm dreading a flight sober, never done it before! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated guys.
Stuart.

feeling depressed these days. Not sure if it's quitting pot related or just Life. Have lots of stress right now. Feeling like I want to escape, but I know, there's nowhere to escape to and pot is only a temporary escape that then leaves me with other problems to deal with- laziness, more depression, etc. Just have to sit with the uncomfortable feelings and work towards resolving my Life challenges as best as I can. I was tempted yesterday to get stoned - it's easier for me to find pot than to buy beer, but I resisted. Reminded myself that it wasn't going to help and it was just going to continue another problem I've had WAY TOO long. Oh well, crappy day - going to clean , maybe have a nap. I need to keep reminding myself that "this too shall pass".

had a sauna and a good night's sleep. I'm willing to sit with the uncomfortable feelings for as long as it takes to get rid of this useless addiction. Feel better this morning and will continue to move forward. Thanks alot for the support, Brazilian !

feeling better this morning - been sleeping 9-10 hours a night the last four days. Usually sleep 7-8. Trying to stay present and not let my mind carry me away from here, but it's a real challenge I need to practise anyways. Not interested in smoking pot. Like waking up clearheaded. Enjoy the day everyone.

You are doing great HC, I've finally got back to a sleep pattern as of Sunday evening, I had like zero sleep for 4 nights and was a zombie all day long, thankfully that is the only withdrawals I had this time which is a bonus.
Glad you are doing good HC, take care.
