Sorry to hear that... but you will manage to find another job, perhaps a better one
Drinking over it surely will only make things harder ... not the smart way to go.
I'm doing ok without coffee, day 4 ... but already miss it LOL.

We started this forum because newcomers were getting lost in a maze of continuing threads, Krete.
It's not a lesser forum or anything
I hope you'll get used to the change - it's just a sideways shift

Yeah definitely, just a shame I loved my job and it is pretty cool too, Ebay powerseller, running and maintaning the shop. It's not like most jobs but not to worry onwards and upwards mate.
Caffeine is a tough nut to crack but I'm already sleeping much better without it, anyway time for my Decaf before I head off to work.
Catch up later guys, take care.

Well done on 100 days Krete, I found when life got a bit more boring after quitting that it was just my body finally adjusting to normality after everything I have put it through, I welcomed it to be honest as it was better than the constant anxiety and sleepless nights.
Well done Krete.

Day 105.
Yes, for me it's very boring too. Boring and lonely. But at least I'm sober.
I miss my coffee (day 5) but I'm feeling pretty good without it.
Stoogy, I'm sleeping better too. No insomnia anymore. Very nice indeed.

I love my coffee, but I also understand the jitterness and maybe increase in anxiety with too much coffee. I have been doing a lot of research on L-theanine with coffee. This is a very powerful amino acid. It can also take the edge off of caffieine if you use that as a smart drug. L-Theanine + Caffeine = a feeling of clear focus without the crash or jitteriness. I've ordered some bulk off of amazon- should have it next week. Might help those who still want the alertness of coffee without the jitterness . Check out the reviews on amazon if you would like - many good reports. I'll let you know my experience when I've used it for a few days. Oh, and L-theanine is supposed to be good for sleep too. It's the same stuff found in green tea - calming
Hey Krete, I went through a very similar thing, poor sleeping pattern and just feeling a bit off generally, I put it down to the timeframe and that article on acute withdrawals sounded very much like it which apparently peaks between 3-6 months so that kinda makes sense,
Hope you have a better day today buddy.

I found this particularly interesting:
"Marijuana is peculiar in the drug pantheon, in that it has little or no noticeable acute withdrawal, yet one of the longest post-acute syndromes. That’s partly due to the time necessary to completely clear the basic compounds and their metabolites out of the system. Cannabis has a couple of dozen active compounds (mostly cannabinoids of one kind or another), and many of them metabolize into compounds that are themselves psychoactive. Since all of them are fat soluble, they hang around for a long time. It seems, as well, that the brain’s cannabinoid receptors take longer to return to normal than some of the other receptor sites — although that’s a preliminary theory. Preliminary or not, it fits in with observations and anecdotal evidence." (PAWS - Digital Dharma - link above)
