Class of April 2014 Part 8
You motivated me, UP. You and that stretching cat. 3.1 mi in the books.
Feeling mellow. My friend and I are firming up our Saturday night beer tasting and dinner plans. I'm having root beer at the tasting. Then planning maybe diet coke or cranberry and tonic? What's a "fun" beverage for me to order out at a nice dinner? I'm still not having an urge, just planning ahead.

It may be ambitious and I'll re-evaluate my well-being this weekend. Signs of weakness or crankiness and I'll cancel. I know it often doesn't sound like it matters but beer does not have a pull on me. I'll keep ya updated! Relating directly to that I'm running through ideas for early Sunday morning plans to keep my eye on the prize Saturday night. I thought about taking the two kids out to breakfast and give my hubby a sleep-in/early morning solo bike ride.
UP - thanks for keeping us laughing!

The ride today was just what I needed before work tonight.
Was thinking as I was cruising away from the grocery store with some bananas and another mango in the bike trunk pack at the tail end of the ride ....how this would never , ever happen when I was drinking , ... even a little drinking by my past history.
Grateful to be sober today , ...and grateful to everyone here.
Thanks y'all.

OMGosh-UP, you crack me UP. Now's that's my kind of humour.
Freein- Cdn's adopted many of your words and phrases; like "Out and about" "Fisticuffs" "Chiffonierre" "Parkade" and "Garborator" etc....when we travel to our winter home, Americans ask me "talk Canadian!"
Congratulations Overwhelmed, I am glad everything turned out so well today with your boss.

Overwhelmed, I'm so glad you cleared the air with your boss. It took a lot of courage to do what you did, you should be really proud of yourself.
I had a really nice day at my friend's house about 40 minutes out of town. We went for a beautiful walk. I saw wild irises, lupen, columbines (one of my very favorite wild flowers), and belladonna. The wild flowers in this region are so beautiful, though my all time favorite, wild tiger lilies don't really get going until late June. Something to look forward to.
I'm home now, and things feel a bit less nice. I have something hanging over me that's weighing heavily on my mind, and all I can do is wait it out, not one of my stronger skills.
I haven't been counting days regularly, but realized that today it's been 50 since I stopped taking opiates, and I feel really good about that. I guess I just need to count my blessings, and worry about tomorrow once it's here.
